Cancelling Bt Broadband and having to pay the remaining contract?
Stompin_2
Me and my mate are wanting to cancel our Bt Broadband contracts so we can go to another isp, we both phoned BT and they demanded we payed the rest of the contract off in order to cancel, which was £300+ which is rediculous
Why would you pay for something that your not going to be using?
Are there any ways around this because its bloody barbaric!

It's called a contract, and you agreed to the terms of it when you took out BB with BT0

ye but most contracts have a fixed cancelation fee, paying off the rest of the contract is downright doggy doo0

That's why it's called a contract. You signed an agreement to take a service from a providor for a set amount of time.
Suck it up and stay with them until the contract expires then swap.
This a problem of your own making, don't blame others.A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -
But yours doesn't, and you agreed to it. So quit moaning0

Failing to read the Ts and Cs is costly, learn from it and don't make the same mistake again. What is the monthly payment for the contract? Can you reduce it to a lower package or are you tied in to that level for the minimum 12 month period?0
