    Hey Pixie

    Really really well done!

Regarding telling your partner - I do understand both arguments - but I personally think your approach is a good one. I think that when you do tell your partner you will have the added benefit of experience - rather then approaching your partner with just problems you will now be able to approach them with your problems but CRUCIALLY with a solution as well. You have faced up to your own debts and taken responsibility for them. Well done! Maybe you could consider following the DMP for a length of time and then tell your partner?

Just thought I would throw one thing into the discussion - any thoughts about getting an additional part time job? I don't know how an additional income would be viewed by the CCCS/payplan but just think that the extra money could potentially reduce those 9 years by months maybe even years.....

Good luck - do keep us up to date! :T

Well just a little update and re-cap (sorry to dump an old thread but its a great release typing it all up here)

My new bank account is opne, my wages will be paid in here without any problems from this month :)
My CCCS appointment went really well, such a lovely understanding lady :)
Today Ive posted off ALL my dmp letters with token payments :) & Ive returned all my bills etc to the CCCS :)

Now I just have to sit back and wait for my dmp to be accepted or rejected.....figners crossed.

I'm sure it will be fine Pixie. ;) I'd be interested to know how many people actually had their DMP rejected?? I think that CCCS being such a reputable debt help charity most people have had no probs other than initial teething trouble
