    Hi Saver03

How are you managing to pay off so much of your debt with a £99 income? £500 per month is very impressive, I just see so many people here who are saying they want to pay off large debts in a fairly short amount of time and I honestly don't understand how they do it - whats the secret?! I want mine paid off by August so one month before you but as my debt is just under £1600 I think Christmas is more realistic, it just feels like its a very slow process for me even though the debt isnt that big. I already sold as much as possible on ebay which is how I got rid of the first chuck of my debt. I am also hoping to go to NY next year for my 30th though I havent started saving yet! Good luck!

Well my OH's wages are paid into my account so we just combine our money. I usually earn around £300+ a month anyway as my wage on my soa is just based on the hours I am contracted for but I do more.

I have managed to cross off a couple of jobs from my to do list but I have had to add few more

I am SO tired as it has been a hell of a day at work :( Orange Wednesday + Kids holiday = a VERY busy Odeon and a hard day for me  Must have an early night tonight so I can make sure I am feeling better for tomorrow.

I still have lots of college work to do but what with doing extra at work this week I haven't really had the time. I am hoping that if I get a good nights sleep tonight then I will be fresh tomorrow for my hopefully quiet shift then can get stuck into college work over the next few days. Well that is my plan anyway.

  • Hi Saver03

That's a big list, well done!!! What about breaking it down into smaller weekly targets so it's a bit less overwhelming (I'm assuming it is, it would be for me! ;) ), and including things like 'read a chapter of An Actor Prepares' etc? By doing it this way you'll be able to do more crossing off, instead of waiting til you've finished the entire book, which (I think!!) it more motivating.

Hope you've recovered from your busy night at the cinema!

I have added a few more things to my list  but I agree with you Been I should break it down into smaller weekly targets as it is an overwhelming list and I want to be able to cross things off more often and keep my motivation up.

It was such a crazy week at the cinema but thankfully I am off now but I am back at college tomorrow so won't have any free time. Even though the week was extra busy I am just thinkig of the extra money I can knock of my debts when I get my March pay :A

I have decided I want to watch a film tonight so I am not doing college work until I go to bed cos that just sux! So I am going to set myself a target for today and if I get the jobs done then we can go. Plus it is free so it is good on the money saving front too :rotfl: We want to see Friday The 13th (not getting my hopes up though!!) If we go to the earlier show at 6.10pm I should be home by 8.45pm so I can then get a shower and an early night to be fresh for tomorrow, well that is the plan anyway!

    Todays MUST do list
    • Type up job list T.I.E
    • Highlight research
    • Log book for T.I.E / Devising
    • Send off signed new home insurance
    • Confirm direct debit details for insurance
    • Storyboard for T.I.E
Well I must dash now as we need to leave at about 5.50pm and my college jobs are quite big ones.

I am hoping that I get more than the jobs on my today list done so I can get caught up on all my college work sooner rather than later as I know we will get more soon.

Ok so I haven't actually finished my list for today :o but that's because some odf the jobs took longer than I thought they would. We are still going to the cinema as I have achieved quite a lot today and I am making progress which is an improvement for me :rotfl:

    • Contemporise Shakespeare monologue
    • Write Nat's monologue for T.I.E / Devising

It's getting very rewarding crossing things off my list but I need to make sure I keep this up. I am off tomorrow so I am going to have a great lie in (I hope :rotfl: ) and then I will set myself a list of jobs to do and make sure I complete them all.

    List of jobs for tomorrow:
    • Cancel old home insurance
    • Choose monologues for auditions
    • Storyboard T.I.E
    • Do final draft of design for leaflets for T.I.E and Devising
    • Do March budget
Will just set myself 5 jobs so not to over face myself and think I am never going to do all them and give up. Then if I have time when I have finshed them all I can always do more :A

  • Good luck saving for NYC!! I celebrated my 30th there a few years ago, and had an amazing time. So much to do, so little time...... I'm saving to go again!

Make sure you visit Tiffany - even if you don't buy anything......it's a treat in itself. I spent so much time sightseeing, I didn't have time to shop - much ;)

Oh I have already told OH that we will definately be going into Tiffany he went _pale_ and I would really like to buy something even if it is just a keyring, but I think even that may be out of my price range :rotfl:

I have done a 3 of the jobs on my list so that is better than nothing :o I will hopefully get the other 2 done this evening if not at least 1. I am feeling more motivated and making more progress as I am actually enjoying crossing things off my list. Plus having it up on here is spurring me on. I do, however, need to be more disciplined with my daily job lists and make sure I complete them.

    List of jobs for today:
    • [STRIKE]Cancel old home insurance [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Choose monologues for auditions [/STRIKE]
    • Storyboard T.I.E
    • Do final draft of design for leaflets for T.I.E and Devising
    • [STRIKE]Do March budget[/STRIKE]
Well I must dash now and hopefully get the other 2 jobs done.

Any advice or just a kick up the bum is greatly received!

I didn't finish my job list yesterday  but there was no good reason except my own procrastination  I did have to rearrange one of my drama school auditions and speak to my tutor at college but those only took half an hour so I have no excuse really.
I am working tonight 6pm-midnight  so will be leaving at 5.30pm so that gives me 4 hours and I am only setting myself 3 jobs so I should be easily able to do them and also more if I really set my mind to it.

Jobs that I WILL do today
    • Storyboard T.I.E
    • Do final draft of design for leaflets for T.I.E / Devising
    • Contemporise Shakespeare monologue
Well I must dash so I can get cracking and definately complete my jobs and hopefully get more done so I can FINALLY get up to date with all my college stuff.
