Scottish folk - half price rail travel for journeys valid for the next 12 weeks if booked by 30th June. Saw this in the forums.

Usually it's certain journeys, but seems to work on the Edinburgh-Glasgow route etc. Hope this helps one of you!

Thanks for this FF, I'm going to Edinburgh next week to see my old Uni friend again and this will save a lot of money on a return from Glasgow. :D :T

Dramatic post-title I know, but I am very proud...

I HAVE FINALLY BUILT THE BLOODY BOOKCASE, WHICH HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY LIVING ROOM FOR OVER A YEAR!

I don't think I have enough room for all my books and DVDs, but now I know the storage space I'm working with, which helps!

I am clearing out space in the living room at the moment, and will be moving things around for the next hour or so, at which point I will be stopping for caffeine. I am dusting as I go and adding to the car boot/Ebay piles, which is helping me feel productive.

Also, we now have a "Nerd-Shelf" which has my hardback Dr Who book, Mr Fresian's Watchmen books and my ltd edition Tales of Beetle the Bard. I'm going to add Mr Fresian's comics to this area, so the trash fiction (mine, all mine. Mea culpa!) stays hidden in the bedroom and we can pretend to be cooler than we are :rotfl:

*edit* Just to add, I built it all on my own and only had to ask flatmate for help lifting the blooming thing into position.

    *grin*

    WELL DONE!!!!

That's brilliant! I remember when I made my bookcase a while ago, I was so proud..

The backboard was slightly wonky but it didn't fall down and served it's purpose!

Amazon is too easy, with the storing of the credit card and the click here to download your MP3 choices.

Two discs of Faith No More goodness for £7 isn't too bad though, is it?

I deserve a reward. Partly for my hard work, and partly as there is little food in the house that doesn't require intensive cooking, so dinner was Tesco-brand noodles (You know you're poor when SuperNoodles are too pricey:rotfl:) and some Special K as an appetiser.

Tomorrow my friend is coming round though, so it's slow cookered chilli for us. Nom nom nom.

tomtom - that recipe you gave me is a godsend :D

I did chilli tonight. You know when you're MSE when you've no kidney beans and use cannelli and chick peas instead. Tasted exactly the same tbh :rotfl:Oh and Tesco Yellow Stickered Nan Bread.

So thats Mexican-Greek-Italian-Indian-Chinese inspired meal. Fusion food is soooooo trendy.
