Anyone still waiting for their Free Wine from Smile?

Options
Or is it just me?

Put my £1500 in there in the first week of December (might have even been earlier) but not had anything apart from promotional emails from them.

I phoned them up the other week as my girlfirend who had put the money in a week before me received her voucher a week before christmas. they didn't seem interested and said "Well it will be there before the end of February I guess".

And at the same time Virgin Wines seem to be limiting the mixed cases you can use a voucher with :(

  • I think you'll find the voucher Virgin limit the use of is the first purchase one.

Please feel free to shoot me down, if you know better.

I'm still waiting for my voucher from about the same date account was opened.
Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.

bockster - you should be qualified for just the £1500 as that's what the T&Cs said.

I received this reply today from smile after asking when I get my voucher.

"I've had a look on your account, and can see that you transferred £1,501 into your account on the 29th of November 2005, however, you withdrew the funds on the same day.

Your £1,501 never showed as a cleared balance, meaning you're not eligable for the wine.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

    regards

    Claire"

I transferred the money to Smile on the 24th November and it showed up on 29th. From what I understand that means it has cleared. Are they just trying to get out of it?

    How's everyone going?

I phoned them up again yesterday as it was a week since I was supposed to get the voucher. I was told it takes 2 weeks to get the code from marketing and since they only passed my request onto markteting last Friday (although I called them last Tuesday!), I wont get my code till Friday next week!

They did clarify that I was eligable for the voucher though.

I was told the same on the phone yesterday. 2 weeks from when I called last week... (Last week I was told 1 week)
  • Smile Wine arrived this morning, deliveryman just left it outside front door in the rain, didn't even bother with the bell !

    Better late than never.
