Realised I have lost a total of 4lbs since the beginning of my diary - on New Year's Day
Am still thinking about work  I need to get into weekend mode PDQ :mad:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

Thanks :A
Resting is definately on my agenda this weekendbut I really need to think of a strategy for work. Several 'chats' with my boss have not me nowhere and I can't keep on working at this pace. It's starting to make me ill, I am exhausted and feeling really stressy and upset  Not sure whether I should approach HR
Please do something, we can't have you getting ill.Stupid boss, doesn't know when he/ she is onto a good thing! Could you perhaps put your concerns into writing to your boss and ask for a meeting with him/ her and HR? Then you aren't seen to be going over their head, but you are formalising the problem. (((((hugs)))))

Thanks Fire Fox - sensible advice. Have a bit of clearer head and some perspective now so will see if I can speak to my boss tomorrowSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
I am all shopped out
Bought a dress, a top, a bag and some shoes :j Mostly with vouchers so not too naughty
And then ended the day drinking raspberry martinis at Happy HourSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Really need to get some stuff done  So far I have managed to retrieve my car (it was abandoned in town due to raspberry martinis
) and go to Tesco - but not much else!
Am sitting here scaring myself about October finances  Haven't managed to pay off my Barclaycard - or even any of itso can't 'recycle' that credit to pay my car insurance - and I have nothing saved
May have to look for something with monthly payments - not very MSE
Have a couple of 'big' nights out already planned for Oct - and I'm going to Spain for 6 days  Flights are paid for but I need airport parking - and spends!
Ok - deep breathThis is doable - now I just need a plan

Storecupboard Challenge? Anything you can eBay (shoes you don't wear)? Mini version of 100 days Challenge? Walk, run or cycle to and from work? Only go on one of the big nights out? Convert one of the nights out to a night in at yours? Change jar you can raid?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Defo need to do something about food shopping - it's one of my really weak areas. I don' t actually have a storecupboard as such - am a ready meal/takeaway girl so can defo attack this one
Never done ebay but must get around to trying to sell my engagement ring
Unfortunately, I work 32 miles away so no saving there - and petrol bills are huggggggggeee
Cos it's my birthday won't be scaling that one down  but will try to be sensible on other nights out - and hoping for birthday cash for holiday spendsSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hi Shoe Gal,
glad to hear you enjoyed yourself shopping yesterday :j. Because I love you dearly I am going to be bit severe now :
You must stop the take aways & ready meals. I am not a cook either but it is possible to kind of go half & half. Rather than create a meal from scratch you can have something like pasta - very cheap - with a ready made sauce. There is whole range of pasta sauces, chicken type sauces, & curry sauces too which are just over a pound a jar. I use one for DD & myself & there's always some left over. Things such as rice are also very cheap & filling & you can easily throw some chicken breasts or fillets (I dont deal with anything 'whole'
) in a pan & then add some other kind of sauce & throw in peas, beans or carrots. A jacket potato is also cheap, filling & nutritious & can be accompanied by a whoel range of different stuff to make it extra yummy.
I hope you wont take offence but I am going to be brave & ask that once your vouchers have all gone do you actually need any more clothes or shoes ? I know, you cant believe I had the nerve to say that  but it is one way of really cutting back on the finances.
I think a spending diary might be helpful to you, then you can see where it all goes & where you can save some money.
*Thinks about mentioning a SOA ... but fears being barred from the thread, so doesnt*
hugs to you
