Hi Shoe Gal,
wow, you 've been busy since I last dropped by. I absolutely agree with you regarding your budget & knowing what you can & cant live without.
Some people thrive on denial & abstinence ; it just makes me naughty & want to spend even more.
The way I see it is that we have this life for an unknown amount of time & if I had been denying myself all the pleasures for months in order to pay back the money that my creditors hapily gave me, NB - I did not coerce them into giving me credit nor hold guns to their heads  - and then got squished by a bus tomorrow , that would be a damn waste of my life:(
If I wanted to live an austere & humble life then I would have become a nun. So many people are getting debts written off & you my sweet are intending to pay yours off so well done for that :A. No one, I repeat no one is going to posthumously praise me/you for living like a pauper in order to pay my debts off so thank F I bought those beautiful red shoes:D

Feeling a bit 'bleurgh' today
not sure why
Need to get back on track diet wise, haven't even made a dent in the 3lbs I put on last week  I find it really hard, and struggle even more to exercise

Morning!
Dieting is hard but persevere! It's all worth it when you lose some!
Have a nice dayAiming to get rid of by Christmas:

Hiya Shoobeedoo, my strawberry blonde partner in crime
Hope you are feeling a bit less bleurgh now. If all else fails, why not put on the Slendertone, have a look at some magazines online, and at least that's two things that have been achieved today (inc, the very important "do something for me").
I think that the new approach is absolutely right. My own theory on denial is something like that silly putty; if you try and contain it too much, it will fight its own way out in a direction it wasn't intended to, and will cause more damage as a result. I reckon that we can all manage to restrain ourselves to some extent, but when the privation becomes too extreme, then we give up altogether and the effort is wasted, plus we get to feel superbad about ourselves at the same time. So the new "moderation and having a life" regime sounds exactly right.
Hope it all goes well, and that today has improved. :A
