Stop this immediately& start listing the things you HAVE achieved every day instead
" I am so F fabulous I deserve to have fun at the races, I achieve so much every day of which I am proud & will always strive to do more the next day ... but if I dont it really doesnt matter as I am neither a saint nor a world leader & they dont always get it right either "

Have a fab time at the races - looks as though it's going to be decent weather, and the wedges/maxi will be lovely.
And Lula's right, as you know - don't be so hard on yourself. *Adopts stern tone* I think we should be seeing some achievable lists next week, if necessary broken down into essential and desirable?
Have fun!0 -
Have been doing some thinking and reflecting and it seems like it's time for a new plan as I don't seem to be getting anywhere (apologies to any regular readers now thinking, 'oh no, not another one!'
I have put 3lbs back on and have run up approx £500 on my Barclaycard so seem to keep going back to square one. My poor regular readers will know that I always come up with great plans that I obbviously can't stick to or I wouldn't be in this mess  Regulars will also know that some of the 'essentials' in Shoe Gal World are not the standard 'essentials' but are non-negotiable just the same, nails, going out, shoes etc
Reading back over my diary has made me realise that I am not very good at sticking to things, am rubbish at hardship (even perceived hardship ) and cannot live frugally
However, I have also realised that if I always do what I've always done I will continue to get what I've always got
So my big 3 to work on are- diet, exercise and looks
- budget/debts
- social life
Plans to followSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Am going to set myself some smallish targets for August which I hope will actually form the basis of new habits
I've already said that I don't want to cut out Shoe Gal Essentialsso I need to look for other areas to cut back. A look at last weeks internet banking has shown one area I really need to change. Last week I went to Asda and/or Co-op everyday spending between £8 and £15 a time. Supposedly this was food shopping but included such things as chocolate cheesecake, Belgian waffles, fake tan spray and a top  I obviously don't deal well with temptation :rotfl::rotfl:
I've tried weekly shopping before and it doesn't work for me - I just end up throwing loads of stuff away, for the same reason I don't think online shopping is the answer. So my first step is to limit myself to shopping every other day. Have just been to Asda and have food for meals now until Wednesday - and I bought only food :j
Am hoping this new attitude might also help my dieting efforts! I know I need to get into exercise but I keep setting myself big goals and failing. My new goal is to exercise twice a week, and to put 'exercise appointments' in my diary each week and treat them as an appointment. This weeks exercise days are Tuesday and Friday - will add them into my work calender and make sure I finish on time
I also need to re-focus on debt busting  I am going to ignore my overdraft for a while and focus on getting my Barclaycard back to zero, which will also give me an 'emergency safety net'. I have done a couple of letters towards reclaiming credit card charges which I will post tomorrow. I have been putting copper into a money box since the new year, now I am starting one for 20p's - every little helps! I am also going to do £1 PAD anytime I manage a LSD, throwing everything at Barclaycard until it is back to zero
Obviously stealing from The Quest (thanks Lula :A) I also need to improve my living enviroment. I actually rent a modern, if rather bland, apartment so no actual work needs doing but I am sooooooooo untidyI really need to develop a 'little and often' habit of daily stuff - putting clothes/magazines/post away, washing-up, stuff like that. If I get into some better habits in a few months (finances permitting) I will look at doing a bit of decorating/personalising to make it more 'me'
Summary of August targets :- clear Barclaycard
- exercise twice per week
- lose 4lbs
- tidy apartment

That sounds like a great plan ShoeGal:j Much easier to do things in easy steps, I am also someone who makes big plans and gets disheartened, so much easier to make smaller targets and reach them. I am going to pinch your idea of having targets just for August, off to have a think about what I can realistically achieve:D. Good luck with your planPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
