    Hi Shoe Gal,

sorry to hear that you've been having another rubbish week with work :grouphug:. As others have said, this holiday cant come soon enough. Unless you work in a life or death industry I really think that when you are on booked & approved leave that you shouldnt answer any calls from your workplace. I'm sure that you are a very diligent, conscientious & responsible employee so wouldnt leave work with things unfinished. Try not to let this spoil your celebrations & holiday. Enjoy them & the break from work & maybe when you return you will decide that if you are still overloaded & under appreciated then it's time to take your skills elsewhere.

Just do what you can for yourself this weekend & remember that you are F Fabulous :A

Self pity is such an unattractive trait :o, thanks to all who read through my wallowing

Up early, for a weekend, and got my head screwed on now, so here goes:
    1. it's just a job! I need to work and usually enjoy my job, but it can't take over my life. I will continue to work hard and be flexible but I will not let it get out of hand
    2. looking good is feeling good! Freeing up some time from work will allow me to look after myself, sleep better, exercise and be F Fabulous
    3. my home is my sanctury! Again, more free time will allow me to keep the apartment at it's best so it's a place I want to be
    4. the debts are going down! I am gradually paying off my debts, but I will continue to have a life
    So, here's the actual plan:
    • work sensible hours, with early starts and finishes
    • discuss the possibility of 4 long days and Fridays off
    • if the situation does not start to improve update CV and start looking elsewhere
    • regular exercise routine - 3 sessions per week
    • overhaul wardrobe and look stylish everyday
    • eat well and lose weight gradually
    • keep on top of domestic stuff so home is a place I want to be
    • revamp living room and then bedroom
    • continue to make all minimum debt payments and try to overpay whenever possible
    • stick to a sensible budget, controlling unecessary spending to allow for treats
And remember - because I'm worth it! :D

Just having a little rest and then time to start pampering myself ready to go out tonight - am looking forward to it now

Have managed to tidy up, do 2 loads of washing and get food in but am writing the rest of the day off to laziness :o - and eating! Have real tiredness/hangover munchies so am allowing myself to be naughty

Go on my hols on Thursday so have loads to do in next few days! Got a bargain suitcase in Wilkinsons, 75% off! Pink and spotty - wow :j Need to sort insurance and airport parking - Quidco of course  and then decide what I need to pack :D Checked the weather today and it's 25 degrees :j

Have a friend coming round tomorrow, and pub lunch on Wednesday so definately working short days this week - good practice for when I am not there

    Copy and paste from SAID!

Not sure what my plans will be for 2010, but paying off £20k wouldn't be feasible for me. It's about 4 times what I am paying off my debts at the moment

Have been doing some reviewing in my head the last few days - birthday time of year :o! Have been on MSE for nearly a year now and I am actually proud of the fact that, for the first time in about 20 years, I haven't increased my debt this year - and am actually starting to pay it off :j

As I've said before, I still want to have some fun and want to continue living on my own rather than sharing (selfish, I know) so I don't have much 'wriggle room' when it comes to overpayments. Although, maybe I don't need quite so many shoes

    Sorry - bit rambling :o
