The fact that the lady you spoke to didn't say 'that case is closed' may mean the case is still live and I'd be reluctant to give up on it if that is the case.

If you want to try with another organisation, the list is here

Well, spoke to some lady yesterday and it turned out that they closed my case. Shocking as I never received any information from them and always supply them with all the info they needed. Very bad communication from their end. Went to StepChange, hope this will help me.

    I can't defend that - it's poor service

The problem is that Stepchange got !!!!!! off, partly by Citizens Advice, and threw their toys out of the pram. They won't do DROs now - and just pass you to one of two organisations - Citizens Advice and Money Wellness (Gregory Pennington). And the reports on Money Wellness are not wholly positive.

Hi, I have a couple of questions.
After a DRO has ended and before the record it comes off the IS register, does anything appear to say that the moratorium period has ended?
Should credit balances be updated to zero and/or marked as settled?
(In case I have to contact any creditors to clean up  credit record).

Yes that's what it says, and why we recommend you keep a copy of the entry as it appears in that period

And yes credit files should go to balance zero and settled
  • My application has just been approved today. It went with StepChange after I wasted 4 months with Citizens Advice Bureau.
Quick question, I just signed a contract for a new job better paid only 50p more an hour. How can I inform them about it?

Are you saying stepchange submitted your DRO?

We are being told that they don't do them any more. Can you tell us if that is wrong?

Any changes - you are required to inform the Insolvency Service. You should have had a letter from them when it was approved.

Have any of your outgoings increased at all ?

Do you still meet the £75 disposable income limit ?

Because if you don`t, based on your new increase, your DRO will fail.

The disposable income limit is not flexible in any way, so think carefully before you do anything, can you increase your spend to make your budget balance ?

If so, do it, if you tell them your disposable income is over £75, even by 1p, it will be revoked.

You only need to report a change when it actually happens...

Well it will only change by 80 pounds gross a month. Shouldnt affect anything as my outgoing were around 150 pounds over my income anyway. Do I have to tell them about overtime if there is any?

I went with stepchange and I think they referred me to MoneyWellness if I'm not mistaken
