Hi all, I'm hoping some can help!
I had a DRO in 2019 which finished in 2020.
One of my debtors has refused to accept my explanation despite me showing them copies of the DRO and proof that they were included. They have now sold this to a debt recovery agency and they are now sending me letters.
Can someone help me find out how I get in touch with the insolvency service to report them? I can't find any useful contacts online regarding DROs
Thanks in advance0 -
You need the DRO Team at Plymouth:
Try DRO.unit@insolvency.gov.uk1 -
Hi there, I'd be grateful for some advice please.
I am on a DRO and am getting a pay rise. Going with the budget submitted with the DRO the pay rise would take me over the £75 per month surplus limit, BUT my expenses have gone up so much - especially things like electricity - that I will actually be no better off than when I started the DRO.
I am legally obliged to report this pay rise to the Insolvency Service, but in terms of the new budget, will they just accept my own income and expenditure or does it have to be approved by an intermediary? (I have tried contacting StepChange who set up the DRO but I haven't been able to get through or get a response from them).
Many thanks.0 -
Re-do your budget with the COL increases. Where does that leave you?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Have some figures available that show you're still under the limit.
Inform the IS that you have had increases in income and outgoing but that you are still within the limits (don't give detail at this stage)
You can use the email I gave a couple of posts ago.
See what comes back -probably nothing.
I don't think stepchange will be interested now that they have stopped doing DROs1 -

Please could you direct me to (or re-paste) the email you mention, I am not sure which one you are referring to?
Many thanks again.0 -

HiLong story short. I got myself in to some big trouble around 2016. Struggling with my debts since then at around 29.5k across 3-4 creditors. August last year I decided to take consolidation credit to completely pay off one of them (5200 pounds ) and then use rest of the money to top up my current account in case of debit or any urgent payments. Im applying for DRO via CAB now as this debts are taking life out of me. I started this around February this year and still not made full application. I had what I belive is final meeting with them before they send the application and they said that due to prefferential payment I made this app might be rejected. How likely is this going to happened?
I never missed any payment in the past0
