DRO unit have replied and said it's been declined due to the debt for mortgage protection on my credit report. I've never had a mortgage and the amount is the debt I have with a credit card. They have asked for more information on my mortgage and if I sold it etc.. how can I get that changed on my credit report?
If they're still taking to you the application has not been rejected - they are just asking for more info.
You will need to explain/evidence what this is to the DRO Unit and get it changed on the credit report by writing to the creditor giving the wrong info - the address to write to should be at the end of the Experian report0 -
Okay thank you. Haven't heard anything since so I'm panicking how can I prove I've never had a mortgage?0

Well you have told them 'I've never had a mortgage and the amount is the debt I have with a credit card.'
They should accept that explanation as its the truth.
If you're still not on the insolvency register, you could phone them to ask if they need anything further from you.
it could be that they have asked your intermediary (CAB?) for more evidence and they haven't done this yet.
Thought: do you have a current statement from the credit card that you could send them?0 -
Would I hear from them first before appearing on the insolvency register? My intermediary has emailed her back saying that I've never had a mortgage and it's completely wrong and the amount is for.a credit card and have heard nothing since. Yeah I have the latest statement from my credit card which I showed the intermediary.0

We're back to your first question. Your intermediary hears first, then the DRO Unit sends you a letter and put you on the register. Post is slow and the register changes quickly so worth keeping an eye on it.

Hi all
My son had a DRO back in 2009 which no longer shows on his credit report.
Unfortunately, one of the reported linked addresses is by the Insolvency Service. Even a lender with half a brain will be able to make 2+2=4!
Is it possible to get this removed by, say, a notice of Correction?
Any help gratefully received
Many thanks j0 -
Hi, I currently have a DRO, I was just wondering at the end of the 12 months will the insolvency service ask for copies of my payslips? Also a family member has passed away and left me around 2k which is to be paid to me my cheque, will this effect my DRO as this will show on my bank account0
