Thanks for the response Orville and Fatbelly. Paid this morning and it's been submitted so will be a tense weekend! Wouldn't surprise me if mine is one that is pulled out for closer scrutiny! Saying that all the information I provided went through smoothly and I rarely had to speak to StepChange (CCCS)!

Thanks I will try that now. Any tips on how to build up my credit rating?

I really want to get a mortgage with my partner once the 6 years is up do you think this is possible?

    Hi again Boo

I would suggest you have a look at this useful sticky thread titled "Cleaning up credit file post-bankruptcy" for a start:

Though it refers to BR as opposed to DRO, the fundamental principles are the same.

    Hi all.

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I got a DRO in July 2011 and today I have got a letter from a bailiff company regarding a debt from back then which was definitely included in the DRO. I called the creditor and they have no record of the DRO. Problem is I can't find my letter with the DRO info on it to give to them and my name isn't on the Insolvency Register either.

Any ideas where/who I should contact to get this info? Would the DRO no. be on my credit report if I get one?
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

    Firstly don't panic :-)

Give the Debt Relief order Unit a call on 01752 635 200 and ask if they can send you a discharge letter. There should be no problem what so ever. Also just tell them that your being hassled by a balliff company and see if they can send you a copy of the origional order with the included creditors on. :-)

*Edit* Oh and when they do, don't lose it this time...lol

That's brilliant Orville (and quick)! I thought there must be some way of getting a copy... just couldn't work out how.

    Your welcome :-)
  • Word of advise! Don't apply for a DRO on a Friday! I've had the extra wait with the weekend and I am still awaiting confirmation on the IIR! The suspense is driving me nuts!!!
