I sooo hope that someone can help me. (Im a little on the edge at the moment, so please forgive if I start shaking and crying unexpectedly:()
My DRO has been approved at the beginnig of Aug.this year, after long, miserable and exhausting years of financial stuggle. That cheered me up no end
. Just as I was about to believe I can sort it all...my wages went up:eek: by...£30 pe month! ( did not get pay rise fo 5yeas when i needed it, i got ot now..._party_ ) (its not a pay rise really, its just that I completed probation period, so i get £30.00 more/mnth) As my disposable was £29.0 upon submitting the application, with the "pay rise" it will go up to £59.00 which is over the £50.00 limit.
WHAT CAN I DO? Would they revoke DRO because of £9.00 excess??_pale_
Any solution? :think:What if I have more outgoings now? I need to get an Insuance for my kitten:heart2: It is £20.00/mnth annd it is an allowable expense which I did not have before...Would they recalculate taking it to consideration, or is it that the expenses need to remain the same for 1 year???
Guys, please share your knowledge on this one, cos if they revoke it im going straight to mental institution:mad:
Many thanks!
Have Pm'd you...0 -
Thanks guys! Fatbelly, if you knew me bit better, I anticipate you would give me gold medal for amount of smiles
, since I find smiles the only way to keep (farily) sane in this whole mess called life
I calle my intermediary to ask what I do if my disposable goes slightly down.
She answered- Just call them and let them know.
I said- Ok. Cheers. Good day
Thats why Im here.
Doesnt it sount a bit crazy to you guys that they can revoke the whole thing for a tena ?! Do they not take into consideration any expenses(allowable of course) that arise during the year? Is this really the case?0 -
Have you checked your personal messages?
I am sure Orville would have given you good (unofficial) advice
 (felt I had to add that)0 -
Hi everyone,
Like many other users i'm concerned that after applying for a DRO, if my income increases and surplus income, the DRO will be cancelled.
What wage/salary are people who are on a DRO ok on? What expenses are there, and are there any limits to what can be put down?
What would be a general limit of gross income for a job whilst on a DRO, so that excess income doesn't go over £50? 10k, 12k, 14k, 16k?
Thanks for helping. I'm afraid that it will make me afraid if i manage to get a job.0 -
I'm just about to enter into a DRO under the help of CCCS, i'm wondering what duties i need to be aware of, for example when i come to the end of the 12 months will they want to look at my new bank account (which CCCS told me to open up).
Will there be another expenditure form to look out how much i have left each month and how much will that figure be etc.
To be honest i'm just worried that come the end of the 12 months the debts will be put back in place.

At the end of 12 months your debts are discharged. No one writes to you; no-one checks anything.0

Thanks for the quick reply fatbelly I was under the impression that they done another check and by that i mean how much you have coming in and how much is going out on normal household bills etc, is it that simple that afetr 12 months it's all over with as far as the insolvency practitioner is concerned?0

Yes, the responsibility is on you to tell them if you have a significant change of circumstances.
Of course they can investigate anything they choose to, at any time during the 12 months. But you've got to understand that £90 doesn't buy much of their time, and in practice they usually just accept the application from the approved intermediary, and would only investigate if something looked odd, or a creditor made a valid objection.0 -
OK no worries thanks m8 i don't think things will change unless my numbers come up.

Hi, new here and all flumuxed about what I'm doing.
I've had 3 debts for nearly 6 years which I've been paying a nominal sum off each month...but still owe around £14k. I've been trying to CCA the Creditors to check out everything is legal with the DCA's who are chasing me...but despite sending 4 recorded letters to each...no one has replied to me.
So now I'm in a situation where I've stopped paying them until they respond to me.
As my name suggests, I'm worn out with all this and feel I'm banging my head against the wall with them. I am middle 60's and due to to some bad life experiences have ended up renting and living alone.
I want to sort out this debt, and I am now thinking only the DRO route will clear all this up for me. I have no money to ever pay the debts off..and never will.
My question is, should I contact CCCS and make a start, seeing as plan A hasn't worked out (the CCA letters). What I am thinking is when I get to 65 I will have my OAP, which will enable me to do more with my life...but not if the debts take all that money (I'm living on a small works pension and Housing Benefit at the moment).
Should I aim to get the debts written off ? The reality is the original creditors have written them off years ago and sold them on to DCA'a for peanuts...so it's not like it's going to have a major impact on anybody. No one wants to get into debt and renege on them, but circumstances change don't they.
I guess I just want some encouragement or advice from fellow sufferers..
thank you for reading this.0
