Hi all. im looking at doing a debt relief order very soon, im just waiting for my tax credits award letter as its only a provisional one at the moment, when they eventually send this then im ready to apply for it. can someone tell me tho, I have read on this forum that you need a copy of your credit file, now I have free access to mine but on Equifax and not experian. will a copy of my credit file from equifax be ok? I mean, it should be the same right? should i request it now or does it need to be totally up to date? i.e if i get it today and my debt relief order goes through in 4 weeks, would the report be outdated? thanks0

thanks for the reply scarlet55, ok so i shall leave it till the day then, my debts are about 11k so unless my tax credits letter takes a year to come through ( which is quite possible knowing them ) then i should be ok. one more thing, I have read through all this forum but im slightly unsure about my car - its a 51 corsa worth about £1200 but under 1k if poor condition. I did read that they check parkers which only goes back to 52 reg so can i assume i should be ok with my car?? thanks0

Do your car valuation based on poor condition and you will be fine.0 -

Should be, but usually aren'tI'm an AI, and I'd ask for a recent copy of an Experian report, as that's what the IS check.

How much is your car worth? Is it in poor condition? You need to be truthful, and you'll be fine:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Park your car on any high street on a Friday or Saturday night and when you return it will be worth less than £1,000.
