£1074-908= 166 in my book. You don't want the amount left after debt repayments. Your SoA needs to be the one you will live by after your DRO has been issued and you have no debts not what you are living on before the DRO.

The figures I have given are what the government deem you should have to live on. Just because you don't spend it doesn't mean you can't put it down. Don't forget you will have no access to credit so will need a bit of a buffer. You have been living inb a seige mentallity for so long that you can forget what is reasonable. Actually tell a lie, groceries is about £186, I think, but in BR it tends to be accepted so no reason for it not to be in a DRO.

And I have just picked up it is you and a child (apologies I missed that last night) so the Groceries should be £250. Clothing can be up to £70. You should get contents insurance with accidental damage for your goods. I live in a HA house and I still have contents insurance on my goods. Came in very handy when the freezer broke down and ruined all my food and I couldn't afford £200 to restock it.

Do another SoA and put it up again with out the debts.

    Hi Tiger.

Is this more like it, i have done it without the debts included. You may notice the TV licence is high. I only just got one this past weekend and from the research i have done you have to pay in advance. The amount is what the tv licence says i had to pay when setting the direct debit up.

Looks fine to me. TV licence will be fine. I really do recommend that you get some contents insurance with accidental damage though. It is essential rather than a luxury. My 4 1/2 yo has just broken the toilet and sink (don't ask <rolls eyes>) and I rung the insurers and it is going to be dealt with.

Yup! he is fine, just a little shocked. He wanted to see inside the cistern. Lifted the lid off and broke the syphon, dropped the lid and broke the bit of porcelain that connects the toilet with the cistern. Stumbled back and slammed into the sink behind him and the mirror fell from the wall and cracked the sink. Oh! deep joy!

    Hi lady.

Can't say what the CCCS would require but in another thread i was told that one person only had to hand in one statement to the CAb and a friend of mine who did it with theCAB too didn't even need one.

    Thanks Orville.

Lee_m's post above states that CAB cross-referenced all three credit reports, do CCCS cross-reference all three as well ?
  • Sorry, no they don't. You have a completly different system in Scotland. You will probably have to go for something like a LILA.

Hi all. Just gotton my DRO paperwork over the weekend! I rung CCCS and spoke to a chap over the phone as some bits needed ammending. He told be that I should arrange to have the overdraft facility on my current bank acc removed as this MAY be counted as a debt. is this correct??

    No

Having a 'facility' doesn't count as a debt. But if he's actually overdrawn then it does, and should be included.

I guess the CCCS guy is trying to prevent that possibility. I wouldn't have bothered.
