If any of you have teenage boys to buy for, look out for the Moosehead gift sets in amoung the toiletries. I got one set with a large tub of hair putty, a deoderant and a beanie hat for £1.75 (75% off) and 2 small sets with a small tub of hair putty, a deoderant and then either a chunky lanyard or a mobile phone sock (set dependant) for £0.75p each!

Another bargain was the Phil Smith 'Big it up' haircare sets. A shampoo, conditioner, mousse and brush for £1.75 (75% off). And the Classic Pooh sets which contain a small plush (tigger, pooh or piglet), a wooden 'swizzle stick' and a bath gel in a beautiful presentation box were only £1.25 (again 75% off). These were all in the toiletries section, not the main Christmas Clearance sections.

Elizabeth Shaw's Famous Names chocolates (large box) were £1.22.

I also bought a Garden hand care set in a small metal tin. It has a hand wash and a hand moisturiser (with pump tops), some plant naming sticks (don't know what those are called, lol) and what look like wooden sticks and string (?!). This set was £1.50.

Perhaps the best bargain was the very large tin of McVities (sp?) chocolate biscuits. They were reduced from £9.99 to £2.50, and they also had a cardboard wrapper with a *50p off next purchase* coupon on the back. I ripped that off when they had been scanned and handed it to the SA along with my nectar card & debit card, so the box actually only cost me £2!

These purchases were all from Edinburgh's Camerontoll branch early this afternoon.

(And Thorntons down there has 5 bars of chocolate with spiders on for £1, or 5 chocolate Halloween lollies for £1).

...went again today:D found loads more stuff reduced. All the xmas cards and decorations are now 75% off and there's still lots of food stuff reduced by 75% off. You need to hunt around for it though, as it is all over the store, not just on the one shelf. I was really naughty and bought more goodies:o

here's a list of some of the latest reductions I found today:

    T choc orange hazelnut, 51p

    TCO dark mint, 51p

    santa lollipops x 5, 24p

    baileys tin £1.50

    xmas snowman kit, 49p

vodka shots in a tube, 97p

    ferrero rondnior, 82p

    lindor dark choc, £1.46

Me to you box set, 2.00

    Me to you fizzer, 75p

    Me to you purse, £1

High school musical lip gloss set, £1.25

Tubs of nuts are now 1/2 price. I was going to wait until they went down by 75% but not much left, so I thought I'd better get them today before they all go.

My best buy today was John freida gift sets, reduced from £10 to £2.50 I bought 2. And I used a £1 JF voucher on each set. Paid £3 for the 2:D

BTW, IAMS is 1/2 price at the moment:)

Make sure you check your receipt - we were charged 1.88 for the dark mint TCO.

    CS promptly refunded the difference.

And check the dates - I've got back from my Sainsburys - bought 4 37p packs of christmas chocolate fairy cakes (about all that's left there) - the top three packs (whose dates I checked) had 28th Jan 09 on - typically the one at the bottom of the pile, that I didn't check, was 28th Dec 08 - a BBE, so still ok to eat, but a little annoying none-the-less.

    Yesterday I got

    pannetone for 99p x1
    tunis for 1.49 x1
    dark toberone for 81p x1
    heaven nestle 150g choc for 83p x4

and a few others on 75% off.

Tasted the nestle heaven chocolate and they are delicious just like the lindl stuff. So went into the shop today hoping they still have them, but all are gone :( . There were still over 10 boxes of Heaven and toberone bars left yesterday but the prices were too good to have any left today.
