I cant really comment as ive no clue WHAT theyve rated.
But heres an actual comparity list

Notice how they differ MAJORLY. For example, a 60" sony plasma at 190 watts whilst a Sony 46" LCD is 268 Watts. Which kind of throws the whole 'plasmas are destroyers of the earth' into chaos
