i've had to have my fan heater on almost constantly because of my problems with scottish power. (paying £1 an hour for gas!)
are they safe?
i'm worried that they could affect my babies somehow.
kind regards

Do the fan heaters run on a thermostat i.e. do they switch off for short periods when the room temperature reaches 20C degrees for example? Not having had children I'm unsure, but babies can get too hot, so you don't want the temperature to just keep rising.
I'm sure someone else will come along soon and advise you better.:wave:0 -
Firstly running fan heaters will cost anything from 2 to 4 times as much as Gas CH.
Virtually every fan heater has a thermostat so will switch on and off as the room reaches the desired temperature.
Most(all?) have a a safety cut out that will prevent any fire if it should overheat e.g. a garment was dropped on the heater. Even cheap heaters like this have that protection
