WARNING
If you have recently used the Travelodge mobile website link then you may have been refused a booking after you have tried to pay.
Naturally you may want to switch payment cards or try again.
Again you get refused.
I tried over 35 times and you've guessed it had 70 rooms booked.
My email and phone details are correct
No email or text was received to say any booking had been done.
But what you may not know is that YOUR PAYMENT HAS BEEN TAKEN!
I strongly advise you to check your online bank statement account and phone your credit card company now.

Are you sure it was not finger trouble. When I have booked a travelodge for DDs, payment was taken when I turned up, the card was used to guarantee the booking.0

No booking was taken .No email was sent0

They do immediately take CC and DC payments for Sale and Saver rate rooms but perhaps (?) not for the flexible rate ones.0

These were the cheap 9 pounders0

Silly question but why did you not give up after a few go's? You get 10 out of 10 for persistence at least.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

But returned at different times thinking that because the website was running to such high volumes that was where the problem might be
Also the £9 deals don't hang around for long0 -
I can vaguely remember the days when it was worth staying in a Travelodge.
But that was long ago.0 -

No wonder the £9 rooms don't last long with people grabbing 70 rooms at a time!!!

Indeed. No doubt anyone "grabbing" 70 rooms at a time has ever had the displeasure of ever staying in one."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
I used that site and got my CC turned down, switched to another and was accepted. I've just checked my transactions on the first card - nothing showing as yet but will now be aware, so thanks op.
To the other poster - all I can say is it's clear you haven't tried to book a lodge - the site constantly throws up blips and you off! So yes, if you want one you keep trying. Don't think it's unreasonable to assume if your transaction is turned down that you haven't paid!
Op - what have you done to rectify this?0
