Hello everyone. I have been reading your posts for a while now, and although I am not a very fast knitter, I have knitted a square vest for the Knit Your Square. I am not sure if you send the vests to the same place you send the squares and how you package it up? You are such a very friendly bunch please can someone help me. Thank you. Jackie x0

Hi all - I'm babysitting two slightly poorly grandchildren this afternoon so I won't be around for a few hours.
JVS -welcome to you, great to have you aboard! I update in the mornings so will add your little vest to the list tomorrow. If you read the very first post on page one of this thread, you will find links to Preemies UK and also to Loving Hands; these are where we send our baby items. Click on the links and you will find the addresses on their sites.
DPixie - knitting in bed - what bliss!
Well, must rush - I need some lunch before I go out!

hi everybody, love all this chat, so addictive though! i think you just answered the question i was going to ask! where to send parcels as i seem to have joined all the ones you posted eg; oec, wooligan,LH ,are you connected to them all? and does it matter which we send it to?

Hi Silvercharming - thanks for thinking of us! We already knit breasts for charity and even joined a competition last year for the best-decorated boob - it was called 'Pimp my Boob' (mine's my avatar!) We're still waiting for the results of the comp.
Sylvia - it is addictive on here, isn't it? We on this thread are collectively called the Wooligans - the Yahoo group (link in first post) is ours, but OECS, PreemiesUK and LH are groups run by others (nothing to do with MSE), to which we donate items. Most of us have joined LH because they have a very active forum with lots of lovely people on it, and they usually have several challenges on there. OECS take squares only, which they sew together and distribute to elderly people. LH takes squares, toys, baby items and lots of other things, and distribute them both here and to overseas charities. PreemiesUK (run by our Shezmit) collects and distributes items for premature babies all over the UK. So, as you can see, there are plenty of places to send the things you knit and the need for them is ongoing. Every item you make will help someone less fortunate than ourselves so, besides enjoying the knitting, knowing that it's also much needed, makes it really worthwhile.
I had a great time babysitting but came home as tired as the children themselves!
Thanks for the update, Tooties. I'll add them in the morning. Hope everyone has a great evening!
