MESSAGE FROM SHEZMIT
I have received a message from Shezmit saying that her internet is broken & she won't be online for awhile. As soon as she is back online she will provide an update of parcels which she has received.
If anyone need to contact her urgently, then I will try & pass on a message (no guarantees).

Hi everyone. I have been really busy at work so haven't had a lot of time to post. I did try one night but it got lost in cyberspace somehow - so have decided to ditch the bedtime Horlicks and return to the glass of wine! Younger daughter SuzyQ5 sends love to everyone and i said I would let you know she is back to work in Turnberry but no internet. Thanks from her to Maytaurus and Kathy for links to patterns. She is busy crocheting away and her updates are
2 baby blankets
9 baby hats
5 pairs of boottees
which totally puts me to shame as mine are only
4 squares
1 baby blanket
1 baby hat
Thanks to all for their news and have a nice week

Pam I hope that drink does the trick! I don't think anyone will worry if it's not sorted for a few days, don't fret or let the spreadsheet get the better of you!

I've just been having a bash at Kathy's crochet bunting. I reckon I could have knitted one in the time it took me to do 4 rows! Must practice to get quicker.....0 -

Not sure about the wool, but I would think any would be ok except perhaps really fluffy stuff?
I can help with the question about numbers though. The first number each time is for the smallest size of whatever you're knitting, then when ever you see numbers in brackets that is the next size up, so you would follow the whole pattern using the numbers in the brackets for that size. Some patterns will have several sizes, so you would follow say the 4th set all the way through for the 4th size garment. Hope you can understand that?
The thing about the purl ridges just means the rows of stitches you can see on each side of your work. Say you had knitted 4 rows, you would see 2 ridges of stiches on each side of your work.
Good luck, I'm sure you will soon be knitting many different things as you pick up the basics. If you type 'knitting' into You Tube search engine you will see lots of videos to help.
