Hopefully everyone had a lovely time and is feeling positive about the year ahead. I have made my plans for 2009 and posted them on my thread - I make plans not resolutions as resolutions get broken :rotfl:
Anyway, today I have done/will do:
- [strike]Check online banking[/strike]
- [strike]Make PAD[/strike]
- [strike]Check Quidco[/strike] Now showing as over £20 in tracked money. Woo!
- [strike]Check Onepoll for surveys[/strike]Nothing there

- [strike]Washing[/strike]
- [strike]Take out something yummy for dinner from the freezer[/strike]
- Tidy living room and put unneeded carp into a box for Ebay
- Sort out dry washing and put away in drawers

- Use sorting out of washing as an excuse to evaluate what clothes I do and don't need for the year ahead - time to clear some space!
- Go to the pictures with my free cinema card and remind t'other half to bring his student card
- Take half price sweets bought from Woolies closing down sale to the pictures
- [strike]List some more books on Amazon[/strike]
- [strike]Sell some CDs on music magpie[/strike]
I'll pop back in later and let you know if I have done anything from the list :rotfl:
Just quickly popped back in - I haven't done half the things on my list looking at this :rotfl: I couldn't be bothered tidying the living room or putting things into boxes for Ebay. Maybe tomorrow.
We were going to go to the movies, but it's freezing outside and the buses are running at funny times because it's New Year, so we are thinking of going tomorrow.
Positive things though:
- Cleaned the kitchen
- About to go and make storecupboard dinner
- Have now taken new slow cooker out of the box to admire. So shiny!
- I listed an item on Amazon at lunchtime and it has sold! Any Scottish folk know if the Post Office will be open tomorrow??
- I have a list, a big list (You would be proud Andan!) of things to do in the house over the next three days before I go back to work. I shall succeed!!
- *edit* forgot two other things! I cut up more Christmas cards for gift tage and saved a bit of ribbon for this from something I bought in the sales
- I agreed to total up the PADs from the thread for January - methinks that will be a job and a half, the new thread is over 2 pages already!

Hi - what an excellent idea. I've never made popcorn, I'm sure the kids would enjoy it, so I'm going to have a bash!sophiesmum wrote: »Todays fun thing was making popcorn and watching Stuart Little on telly:p
I've also decided to start a list of 'fun things to do' which I'll record in my new & shiny (note: a freebie from a supplier @ work :j ) DFW diary. Popcorn making will be #1!

Hello all and happy new year!! Im at work on night shift. It waas very busy last night in the control room as you prob here on the news!
Well another no spend day yesterday and today!! Im doing well!!
And this morning on the way home from shift I found 20 pounds in the tube stn!! How good! So I shared it with family so we could all get a treat! I haven’t spend my fiver share yet tho!! I thought this was good karma to share!
Yesterday we got free snack packs too for shift so I had plenty to eat!
Hoping for more good days ahead! Next 4 days after work staying in revising like mad for my exam! So hopefully no spending unless its using the fiver!
One of the girls at work is going to do my nails nice for me in the early hours. Beautifying for free!!
Skintstudentnurse – we do that at home, use one tablet, does the job fine!
Pipsmum – still no baby?!!!!!
Andan – pleased the massage night was a positive move. Im getting into all this esp aromatherapy. My friend did a massage course and will be showing me how its all done!
Mbaz…great on the course!! Hope you get in! Where will do it? Im at Canterbury Christ Church doing my course in Policing.
I walked to the station today too for work and got my 20mins exercise!! Felt good walking actually. I have lots diff ways to get to work which is good and have put money on my oyster card until next payday.
Doing little bits and bobs here at work as its dead. Contrast to last night amazing!! Got my free magazines to read too as still not had the chance!!
