Options
Hi everyone im new to this site, have been looking around for a gps reciever for my new nokia N70. Cheapest i found was from MobileFun heres the link http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/8590.htm. Its a basic one no company really mentioned. Also have been looking on eBay for these not my place to buy it seems, as these things people start bidding stupidly at the last minute and the buy it now prices aint that cheap too and most shipped from Hong Kong or somewhere far. Which is a little put off. Has Any1 found anything cheaper. Thanxz

Welcome shohaib, I got one from Ebay for around same price 6 months ago. This looks ok if you are nervous about the silly bidding on ebay, easier to return if you are not happy.

I got my Bt GPS of Ebay.. there are a few dealers out there in the uk.. u must persevere with trying to get one cheaply.. expect to pay around the £50 mark with postage,I was lucky .. seller lived in my area.. so was a bargain really..
This chap is in UK ... and prices seem ok to me..

I've Got a BT GPS Reciever for my Nokia 6600.Make sure the GPS has at least 16 channels(32 Channel now available).0

I also bought a (16-channel) bluetooth GPS receiver from a UK dealer on eBay, which arrived yesterday, and after a fair bit of patience getting outbid managed to get it (inc. delivery) for £43.
What's ridiculous is that people on eBay tend to bid up to the same amount for used examples as you can get a new one for!"I am not Geoff Vadar, I'm Darth Vadar"0 -
I know thats what i hate u always get 1 last minute ebayer who will be desperate for one and will pay more then its worth. Then again thinking thats like everything else on ebay. What i did few days back i emailed every guy who was selling a nokia n70 and said ill pay £180 inc p+p i only got 1 person who said yes and thank god it was brandnew and was on orange the network i wanted. Always remember theres no harm in trying lol. Ill give all you people who can get the 3 network n70 cheap or will be getting one and will be wanting to use other sim cards on it. Dont even look at them as its going to cost you i heard about £130+ to £250. Even then 3 havent really got the codes themselves i heard and theres some dispute with nokia. Any way back to the topic any one who has seen a really cheap bluetooth gps receiever no matter what make it is as they all do the same thing please do let me know. v grateful thank youIf people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0

get the fortuna clip on gps from http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/ (fastlink P3492) it's one of the best you can buy, supports xtrac and sirf, is small, cheap and unlike many others uses a standard nokia phone rechargeable battery which can be easily and cheaply replaced at the end of its life :-)
I've got one I use with my pda for geocaching and it's great, it comes with a waterproof jacket and neck strap so you can just sling it round your neck and forget about it when out walking etc. HTHDo not speak- unless it improves on silence.0 -
is it a bit pricey does seem really good though. with all the extras. carry on hunting lolIf people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0
