I get them from boots. They come in a small pack of about 4 but I cut them in half and use one in each ear - I find that it makes them easier to use. They warm up with the heat of your body and you forget that you are wearing them.
They last for as long as you want them to... but they get wax on them if you have waxy ears and so that's the time to throw them away (Excellent way of cleaning wax out of your ears - if you have any)
My wife uses them to cut out my 'heavy breathing!!' in my sleep - she swears by themI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -

I'm a light sleeper and already use earplugs loads. I buy mine from Screwfix, you get 200 pairs for £18.99 - a bargain! These are foam but they work for me (and I wear them a few times before I discard them - they are 'washable'). Tried the wax ones before and didn't get on with them myself!

If you know a site builder/joiner or anyone that works in an heavy industrial environment ask them as my step Dad a joiner got me a carrier bag full of orange neons which are exactly the same as Boots but you guessed it orange and neon, apparently they are ten a penny in this environment.0 -
I am alergic to latex and found the squidgy plugs maden my ears itch. Thanks very much for reminding me about the wax plugs, godsend!!!0

you could put some wooden battons on the offending wall, filll the gap with rockwool insulation and then plasterboard over it that shgould cut out the majority of the noise. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
