Thanks for the warning. Just had my Darwin delivered gonna put it up tonight when hubby comes in, anyone found a cheap mattress yet?

You should really make that a good quality mattress at a cheap price, otherwise you will probably regret it.

Small warning on the use of these £30 off codes. I can't find the thread but a while ago catalogue companies started to reclaim (via charging your card) the £30 discount because codes should be personally supplied i.e e-mailed directly to you from the firm, and should not be publicly shared.

Martin got involved in the end but the upshot was becareful as he couldn't intervene again. The trick is to register on the site first just for e-mail updates, not a full acocount. You will then get an e-mail within 24 hours (often much quicker) offereing you £30 off your FIRST £60+ spend.

This applies to Additions, Marshall Ward, Littlewoods and probably a few others as they are all owned by the same company.

Here are the threads around the original problems just over a year ago

i ordered the yasmin . it was delivered in wednesday and out together Thursday. I am really pleased with it a real bargain. Thanks OP
  • I just wondered if anyone who has already received delivery of their Yasmin bedframe could let me know whether the slats are sprung or not? I assumed that they were on the basis of this review from the Littlewoods site:
The bed was easy to assemble although did require a second person to hold it steady whilst bolting together and it was fantastic being able to slot in the slats instead of having to screw them all in!

but I just wanted to double-check. Mine's due for delivery tomorrow!
  • Thanks for this ,I have a 20% off code on my account ,so I am considering ordering and buying sheets for £100 - 20% = £80,only problem is I can't afford a mattress at the moment so it would just have to sit in my bedroom.

I was planning to buy a new kingsize bed and pass the double onto my DD at some point this year.

be careful with littlewood and its other companies when you enter code it shows up.

but after even recieveing the item they can end up gettting the discount back, i'm sure there is a thread on here or Hotukdeals about them.

Becarefull people check your bill make sure you print out screens. After a while you get your discount back on the slip when they send it to me I would avoid. :D

I did assemble the bed on my own..it would of been easier with two people but some carefully positioned boxes.it tookme less time to assemble than to take down my old creakybed.
  • Can anyone help? I ordered a McCord Cuba faux leather bed from Additions sale, guess what no instructions and damaged...

Damage is minimal, hoping for discount, but don't know where to start without instructions? Does anyone have a set of instructions?

Wasn't sure how to start a new thread, bit thick, but I am blonde, hence the requirement for instructions......

    Any help really appreciated.
    Thanks,

Thank you for pointing this out. I didn't want any of the beds, but I looked at the other items in the sale while I was at it and bought some very cheap bedding! I've started up a separate thread for bedding / curtains in the sale.

I bought the Wave bed from Littlewoods. It arrived today but when we went to build it up the parts are faulty. Anybody else buy this bed and have problems. Going to have to contact them tomorrow to get them to collect it. Not actually sure whether to order another one or go for a different bed.
