**HELP** Raw egg inside mobile phone!!!
Help!!!
My Mum put her (my old) phone in her pocket then went to put her hens in for the night. When she put them in she noticed an egg in one of the boxes and put it in her pocket
You can probably guess the rest
The lights are flickering on and off, it's damaged!
So I have a Motorola V600 in bits and I'm trying to get the raw egg from inside it. Obviously water may have just dried but raw egg dries to a sticky film.
....any ideas.....please!!! I thought about using vodka or something to clean the inside bits that I can get to....

Can you draw us a diagram Jay Jay :rotfl:
oops sorry, hopefully someone will come along with a sensible suggestion0 -
first thing - take the battery out (I assume you have)
then figure out how to clean it - I don't know - I''d speak to their service department, as they'll have ultrasonic cleaning equipment and suitable solvents0 -
oh ho.... yer all very funny!!!
Well I've half taken it to bits, unscrewd it all and got half of the egg off.... and was doing really well until I crushed a wire thing... .... now I think I've killed it.
May drink vodka insteadJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
Take the battery out. Wash it under the tap to get any "gunk" out. Stick it in the airing cupboard for a week to dry out. Do not be tempted to put the battery back in until it is completely dry.
May work, may not. But without taking it apart, this is the best that you can do.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

NEVER ever wash the PCB's of any electronic equipment with water, unless you want to completely ruin it.
Best thing to do would be to remove the battery and take a lint free cloth or a cotton bud and douse it in a spirit – Aftershaves are the best ( fringe benefit is that the phone will smell nice for some time after this!) and wipe off the PCB’s with it.
This should get rid of all your sticky egg and any other dirt.
If you can’t find an old aftershave/perfume/eau de toilette or something similar , you can use nail polish remover. However be extremely careful as nail polish remover is pretty strong and can warp some plastics. Recommended that if you do indeed end up using nail polish remover to try do it in a well ventilated area with a good airflow, to make sure it dries out quickly, as leaving the liquid on the PCB might do more harm than good. (You could blow on to the PCB as soon as you have wiped an area.)
Once you have cleaned it, dry it thoroughly for a couple of days in the airing cupboard. My reality check bounced.0
