Pentium 4HT 3.2GHz
80 GB HDD
512MB RAM
DVD Rewriter
XP Home
802.11g Wireless
NVidia GeForce 128MB Graphics
17" TFT
etc.
They also provide a VAT receipt and so I'm VAT registered it worked out at £647.
I paid for it Friday and it's coming Monday - great service!
Could you let us have some more details about this e.g. who bought from, any more available etc? This seems a fantastic price. Thanks.0 -
Beware of Acer laptops, I'm not saying they are less reliable but the customer service if it goes wrong is rubbish (see link below). Apparently they use third party companies to repair the products & that is where thre real problem lies.
There was another link but i'll post it if I come find it

On the Tesco offer, you can take advantage of this offer if you get a price match at Comet if the local tesco has them in stock. You can then also take advantage of the Laptop starter kit which costs £99.99 and includes a HP printer copier scanner a laptop bag with wireless mouse, Norton virus software and a usb cable. Thanks to everybody who posts the competitions. :beer:0

Run don't walk to your nearest Tesco Extra as they have apparently marked down this Acer laptop to only £398.40! That is an unbelievable bargain for these specs including a 1.6GHz Pentium M and DVDRW drive.
Specs:
# 1.6GHz Pentium M
# 256Mb DDR II
# 40Gb ATA/100 HDD
# DVD-RW Dual Layer.
# 15.4'' WXGA.
# Wi-Fi
Check it out. Only available in store!!!
Does anyone know if I could get a better deal by being patient and waiting for offers at DELL/DELL outlet? I'm not in a hurry for a laptop but one would be nice.0 -
Its a good offer for yesterday. But a 40gb hard drive? You can upgrade the ram but expensive for the HDD.
Id leave it. If you need that sort of hard drive for small files etc than just get yourself a cheaper one. Prob good for internet, watching films etc.
Poor C/S and pathetic Research and development. Get a quality DELL to last you with a big HDD if you can afford it.
You get what you pay for, sorry.
Oh the clubcard points mean nothing when spending nearly £400.0 -
PS.
I have never seen a good deal on laptops, computers or even household items at tesco ONLINE. Not instore ONLINE.0 -
