never had to pay a bank charge myself. but thats probably because i keep an eye on my account so that it never goes out of money and if it did then i would pay the fine for the overdraft. i woulndt crib about the fine because it was not my money to spend if it wasnt in my account in the 1st place. i would get worried if my bank didnt charge people who couldnt be bothered seeing if there was money in their account before they spent the money and expect the bank (ie other savers) to fund their excesses. but fines need to be proportionate and repeat offenders should get higher fines. if it wasnt for the fines then everyone would be welcome to keep going into overdrafts without the overdraft being preapproved. bank charges are a good thing as they keep the system working and a check against people who spend money that is not theirs in the 1st place.
ask any person who works in banks as to how many !!!!!! they get who dont bother to keep funds in the account and spend money they dont have then moan about being hit by bank charges. there is no free lunch. free lunches are what landed the financial system in the doldrums in the 1st place.

Can you edit that to include capital letters at the start of each sentence? Also, a paragraph would be nice.

i thought about what u said. but no thanks i cannot be bothered to comply with that request. my apologies if it bothers some, people do have the option to put me on ignore if they find my posts irritating. last but not the least i thought this was a money saving forum and not an english saving forum. i do try not to irritate people but somethings are beyond my control. i never learnt or used computers in school, what i do know about computers is just by trial and error and on the job. i never learnt typing, i type with one finger, i dont use spell check and cant be bothered to do that. the forum rules of membership didnt specify that i need to write in proper english to be able to use the forum.

apologies if my writing style is not comfortable for some to read. but i guess u and i have better things to do than worry about such silly stuff. have a nice day

Agree, so putting Bubblesmoney on ignore as requested. Too tiring to read these long sentences.

The trouble with "value" from multinational companies is that it often comes at someone else's expense / poverty. It's hard to know where to draw the line.

I'll have to nominate HSBC! They are the biggest bunch of robbing b@stards with regards to bank charges!

Thing about bank charges, though, is that they are optional. I've never paid any.

Your posts are DIFFICULT to read! Stop being so bloody lazy and chav-like and use the SHIFT key every once in a while! If you cannot respect the english language then why should anyone respect what you post?

Finally, your response on bank charges was very naive indeed! But as you cannot be bothered to write properly...in fact I can't be bothered replying to you anymore. You're on ignore!

WHAT ABOUT BANKS THAT SUDDENLY CUT YOUR LIMIT. You are going along happily within the agreed rules then suddenly they pull the rug from under you.

    !!!!!!!
Barclays have the same policy. Luckily had no charges but they reduced my Barclaycard limit with no warning. Others havn't been as lucky, those who had their limits cut when the cards were maxed out are having real problems.

That really irritates me. It's bad enough queueing to pay money in, without some jobsworth grabbing the carpet and giving it a good yank. Just because someone's over limit, whatever. I mean other people are also being served, and we all wobble when the rug is pulled. I'm very surprised health and safety allow it.

Edit: don't bother looking for some clever underlying message about banks and credit withdrawal - there isn't one. New Years resolution - only pure crap all the way from now on.
