BT reduction BB and Phone

Hi, I'm new to this forum, thought someone might be interested in my experience with BT today.

As I'm coming to the end of my first year with BT, I rang them up to see if i could get a better deal. I'm currently paying £24.99 for option 3 BB, and £22.99 for my phone. After telling them I wanted to cancel my BB because I thought I was paying over the odds.

After very little talking, I ended up with the same BB package for £15.49 P/M AND the new shiny black hub and phone, and my phone for £10.27 with free evening and weekend calls + 40% off mobile calls (thats less than the line rental).

I can't fault the service, and didn't want to leave - so a good result.

Actually, I think I got that wrong. I think it was £18.99, and that included daytime calls as well. But with no-one being in except on wednesdays, it was a bit pointless. I also think it will be cheaper to use the external dialling numbers than to pay the extra to BT. I was mainly impressed with the BB saving, just shows what they can do it for if they have to!!
