No one called, that's 3 days the have promised to ring and nada. I just chased them again. I'm now expecting a call from "someone in the Doxford administation department". So what department is that I wonder, the CS rep didn't have anything else to tell me. Doxford is nowhere near me or the recipient.

Also dont forget to make a claim for either late delivery or not recorded correctly.

I have managed to get full refunds on all SD items that were delivered after 1pm and i think you get an extra £5 if it's a day late.

Also got a book of first class stamps for every recorded item that had been delivered but not scanned as delivered.

If more and more people do this maybe it will get themselves into gear.

As i had my account limited by paypal and they wanted a few details one of which was the last 3 items tracked, 2 were fine but the other whcih was delivered but as RM did not ask for a signature it did not show this and this could have resulted in my account in being locked for 6 months and my money stuck there.

Only because of someone that i'm very grateful for i managed to get this sorted.

even thought the stickers still show delivery before 1pm, it is actually 2pm now as most post people do not start delivering now tiill 10 am onwards as they leave the sorting offices later....

At last I spoke to someone at the customer support center who genuinly sounded like she wanted to help. She confirmed the item never made it to the delivery office. She advised me that the route of their investigation has stopped with "postoffice counters" and it was them who had been failing to ring me. She has said the best course of action is to claim on the insurance, and she is sending me the claim form.

Presumably I'm OK to refund the buyer now, after all it's not his fault.....?

Then raise a mutual cancellation of the auction to get my fees back, and hope he agrees, as it's not my fault either.....?

    should still be 1pm
duties should be tweaked accordingly or SD items given to a van duty to ensure 1pm delivery is met

    agree on all fronts
if they are pointing to post office counters then its really your local post office/collection duty at fault

RM Claim form done, off to refund the buyer now.

What happends if the item turns up with the buyer (or returned to me) sometime in the future, after the compensation has been paid?

RM have just told me the p58 claim form was lost in the post too! I have re-submitted along with a p58 for the lost p58 too, if you see what I mean. Thankfully I got a certificate of posting.

Two months since losing the parcel and they haven't started to look at my claim, what a joke.

I'm giving them 7 days then I'll invoke their customer complaints procedure.
