No - keep the staff to do the phoning round to get sellers to reduce the homes or if they refuse make them pay a service charge for keeping their house on on the market at ridiculous prices i,e stalling the market0 -
A few had 'sales' just before Christmas, so I'd expect to see something similar mid-January.
There's still many agents around who still can't bring themselves to say 'price reduction.' Round our way, it's usually: 'New Price!'0 -

They often have January sales of hard-to-shift property. I sold mine in one in 2007 (smug, moi?).0

Ah the wonders of house price inflation. You couldn`t make it up !0

I would say that most estate agents will be looking to remarket all properties currently on their books and that will most definitely include advising price reductions amongst other things. A lot of old/over priced properties will have been taken off today due to the epc deadline as the vendors cant be bothered to pay the fee as they know that their property wont sell at the current price and they dont want to reduce. So thats a good thing.0

I think estate agents will keep the over priced properties on their books just to fill an empty board, then once cheaper more sellable properties (repossessions, forced sales etc) come onto the market, they will contact the vendor requesting a revaluation or they can choose to market it with another agent. EA's would know if it will sell or not so they would know that it is not worth trying.0
