"On February 5, 1984, Caesars erected the four-faced Brahma Shrine from Mr. and Mrs. Kamphol Vacharaphol and Mr. Yip Hon."

If you do a search for Brahma Shrine and Caesars palcae you'll find pictures on the dedication etc

And I was surprised to see a Serendipity 3 outside Caesars! I love the one in NYC and had I known it was there before we left it would have factored into my planning. :)

Good article on serendipity 3 here:

Wooo son wants to go back to Disneyland but didn't fancy doing it as a long weekend so I suggested we added Vegas on to the end (as he's 17 he finds Vegas a bit of a pain as he can't do stuff but the thought of pool time and coasters convinced him)
Wanted to go directly after AS levels but August is so much cheaper so we're going right before he heads back to college. Slight glitch that my Mastercard isn't going to arrive before the fare I've found ends (bank decided it had been compromised as part of a batch grrrr) and the airline don't accept my debit card type so I'm thinking dump the cash onto a holiday money type Visa card and pay on-line with that. Can anyone see why that wouldn't work ? None of the consolidators have this fare as cheap as using the airline direct btw.

The weekend nights in Vegas I have the offer of room and some food comped at the Orleans so will grab that as plenty for son to do there (haven't mentioned to him the Osmonds are playing there that weekend ;) He won't mind-lots of friends will be in town for the shows and they all think he's "cute" LOL) then up to the strip to whoever has nice offers for the other nights probably. California nights will be pricelined -we did this last August and got some fab rates for anaheim.

Rich, if you go to the VooDoo Lounge before 8pm I think it is, then there is no cover. I think they still need long trousers and not shorts so bear that in mind. We went up just before dusk and it was a great view watching the strip light up and all the helicopters going up the strip.

Thanks for the info on the massage ferf, I'm definitely going to do that. I love a massage, but couldn't justify the prices the spas charge in Vegas.

I had read about Serendipity 3 before we arrived. You can't miss it as it's right on the strip and I'm thinking of trying there when we move to the IP.

Day 4 of the TR HERE and things get better.

So glad that things worked out! We may have to check out Casa di Amore as have heard good things about it for ages.

Enjoy the massage if you get a chance to go back. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I forgot to say in my blog. I put the r.com cert on the table before I asked for the bill, but I didn't even have to mention it. Brad came by, saw it, picked it up and said, "I'll take care of that".

When he came back he asked how much I'd paid for it. I don't know why, but I said $4 when it was $2 and he said he'd had a lady who only paid $2 and he thought it was a great idea so no problem whatsoever with using it.

    !!!!!! it!

Just bought a load of restaurant.com vouchers, only to find they are limited to parties of 2 or more.

    I'm going on my own!

Guess I'll have to try and find a dining companion whilst I'm there!

They are good for a year from when you buy them. I bought some last August at 90% off for this trip.

Thanks Luci, would be be able to tell me exactly how they work ?

i.e. If I buy 4 for say ben and jerry's as they are $25 off, would that mean I would get $100 off my total bill ?
