i have had my priority booking form through and have been looking at the parks online best to suit a 2 and 3 yr old
so far minehead looks amazing
one question and it may sound silly but
on the website it states funfair is free and other activities
i will be buying the entertanement passes too but was just wondering if the things listed as free are going to be included on the sun holiday
the main things that interest me are
the swimming pools,
indoor soft paly area,
funfair,
adventure play area,
and finaly has anyone been there and would they reccomend it or would you reccomend another park in the same area or in devon that would be good for a 2 and 3 yr old
many thanks in advance
nat
Hi Nat
We went to Minehead on the sun offer last October half term. The only thing you have to pay for once you have paid your entertainment pass was the big outdoor climbing thing. The swimming pool is the best I've been in and its free. Am hoping to get back there again this half term

we want to go to bognor butlins in april, funny how the 2 weeks the kids are off they quote from £95pp:eek:, and as soon as kids go back to school it quotes from £42pp, did a online quote with them direct and the cheapest holiday we could get for 4 is £335:eek:, so hopefully i can get the same holiday through the sun for £74.80:D, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0

Incidentally does anybody know what time the suns online booking website opens on monday the 12, many thanks DaveTake every day as it comes!!0

Are there any priority booking codes available anywhere please. I would love to take my daughter on one of these
Thank you x0 -
Its not funny at all, its peak season when kids are off
yes i do realise this, but i cant see how they can justify putting the price up by over 100% for those 2 weeks just because the kids are off, maybe they are trying to offset the cost of supplying these holidays to the sun at such reduced rates, by making them much more expensive by booking direct, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -

£74.80?
I thought it was £95, or are you going when kids passes are free?52% tight0 -
We've been to butlins minehead twice now and it's great. The indoor swimming pool is great but our toddlers loved the outside paddling pool just as much.
There is a PGL type climbing thing with a zipwire which you have to pay for, but there's so much to do that you can probably ignore it. My eldest had a go, but out of the 16 of us on holiday only 2 people paid to go on it (£25 each I think). There's an adventure playground called 'the fort' which is free, and is fab. There's a park in the 'sun and moon' pub too, lots to do for free.
There were a few others things you had to pay for too, I think some sort of hook a duck at the fairground, there was a panning for gold near the racetrack too, and an indoor laser-tag game which my son spent his holiday money on. You also have to pay for the 'driving school' go karts and inside the big white tent there are arcade games and a bungee trampoline which costs a fiver a go. There were also a couple of inflateables that my kids begged for every day which were £2 a go.
There's a lot to do for free though, and the archery class was great, as was the fencing (indoors which was good on a rainy day, you have to go and book at around 9am though so perhaps that's why it wasn't busy?).
There's a little undercover 'bob's yard' which is a small fairground for smaller children, great on rainy days as most of it can still run.52% tight0 -
