Can anyone who has been to butlins with this offer give me some info on what its like?

    I'd be hoping for skegness.

What is the accomodation like you get with the sun? Does it work out the same price as booking direct once youve paid for passes or fees?

I've heard once you pay at butlins everything is included in the price - is that right?

    thanks. x

we went to skegness butlins 2 years ago and it was brilliant!!!! ( we paid with tesco vouchers)
so much for the kids to do and since then we have been to john fowler, park dean and have and although generally the price is so so much cheaper than butlins, we found that butlins was by far much better!!!!
hope fully we are going again this year!!!

i have pricede up 4 us 5 to go with butlins and is going to cost £557 but with sun deal only £145 (that is half board by the way)

If you go to pontins in southport you can upgrade to a club appartment from a basic for about £20 extra if you phone when you get your holiday confirmation.

If you see my other thread about Pontins, you can book a weeks club grade for £60 up to 8 people which is alot cheaper than going via The Sun, we have been doing this for the last 3 years
  • can you tell me how i work out all the extra costs for the sites i am interested in - the 3 north scotland ones, I havent a clue

Linen? passes? how do you know the prices? diff prices for diff sites?

You only pay the basic price at first when you send off for your holiday so don't pay any of the extras until you get the confirmation through (then it's paid directly to the park)

If you look at all of the parks (in the pull out brochure in the sun which might not have been in the newspaper yet as its normally a couple of days after it starts) it gives info on what the costs are for the parks.. they may be different depending on where u want to go and the dates.

You can either pay to hire linen (about £11) or take your own. You don't get any of this money refunded as you usually do if you book direct with the park.

You don't have to pay for entertainment passes but it depends on where you are going and if you want to use facilities such as the swimming pool, bars etc.. if its haven adn you have younger children its usually good for entertainment for them. Some places dont charge for under 5's.

basically, if the brochure bit hasnt been in the paper yet then that should have all the info and prices you need to work it out

    hi guys

i have had my priority booking form through and have been looking at the parks online best to suit a 2 and 3 yr old

    so far minehead looks amazing

one question and it may sound silly but

on the website it states funfair is free and other activities
i will be buying the entertanement passes too but was just wondering if the things listed as free are going to be included on the sun holiday

the main things that interest me are

    the swimming pools,
    indoor soft paly area,
    funfair,
    adventure play area,

and finaly has anyone been there and would they reccomend it or would you reccomend another park in the same area or in devon that would be good for a 2 and 3 yr old

    many thanks in advance
    nat

Pontins at hemsby is shutting with immediate effect, so don't pick that as one of your choices. (just heard on local news)

i used to work at butlins, minehead, and can confirm all the things you have listed, you will be able to use for free, as they have no way of charging people to use these facilities, the only people that pay are the day visitors, and in theory they dont pay for those amenities, they just pay for the ticket that gets them into the resort, HTH Dave
Take every day as it comes!!
