The technika from tesco looked a bargain but I have to agree I am on my 3rd one noisy drive, constantly seeking on disc ,buggy software pants remote control, the time it takes to power uo you could get a court sketch artist to draw the programm quicker!!you gets what you pay for taking it back and getting a panasonic. :T0

Ref the tescos yamada clone. I do agree with the startup time... it's so slow compared to a liteon 1101 I tried (proline dvdr700).. but then that didn't work with rgb in- although comet are trying to check it out with profile.
Since it's just for occasional sky+/DV camera archiving it's no big deal..
Under tescos 28-day satisfaction scheme I'm giving it a go. After that if it lasts 1-2 years it would do it's job. If it fails in a year - even better. tescos will replace or return money and whatever replaces it will be cheaper/faster/better ....What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0
