I was a Chappie buyer (dried) until my dogs decided they wanted a change. I now buy Lidl Gerodog, 10kg for £6 and then buy there huge Gerodog tins and add a little tinned meat to the complete dried food ... my dogs drool when it is being served and they eat it with relish.

I think Asda are doing a 'Pet's Week' next week and are doing some offers on pet foods, so might be an idea to stockpile if you can.
I had a leaflet but I think it's been binned.
I buy Asda canned, biscuits and munchie type things and have noticed it's really gone up a lot lately.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I use a mixture of Lidl/Aldi/Asda/Tesco own brand - my pooch loves Aldi tins, and they are pretty good value.
I use the lidl/aldi dry food too to mix in with the tins.
He gets a special treat when there is a special offer on pedigree or winalot, but he definitely doesn't starve!!Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -

you might like to try lidl's 800g tubes of dog food. One tube lasts my boxer 2 days mixed with lidl's biscuits & she loves it. There's a beef, chicken and tripe variety. The tubes are about 35p (soz I can't remember exactly)Originally Posted by shortcrust

I think they are trying to shift everyone to buying dried dog food, but I prefer canned.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Thanks Willow - it's a shame my boy doesn't like butchers, as that is a really good deal!
