we had ours delivered from JL yesterday and am more than happy with it - i wanted it on the wall on a movable arm, but hubbie didn't trust himself to do this!
We have brought a stand from costco which has three shelfs and an arm which holds the tv, so looks a bit like it is on the wall.
a bit like this one from JL but 3 shelfs and only £140 http://www.johnlewis.com/230496312/Product.aspx
    hope this helps someone.
Actually the stand that comes included with the TV is quite nifty, and allows you to adjust the angle of the TV whilst keeping the stand neatly in line with the front of the unit it is standing on.

The price of this TV has been up and down like a fiddler's elbow over the last month, and I have no doubt it will continue to do so. You could end up putting it off forever - be brave, go for it! :D
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Yes. It is a better deal. However, I have had such bad experiences with M&S online. Ordered clothes that were "in stock", only to receive e-mails saying they were no longer available. Didn't want to use them again.

Their online system is a shambles I mean surely it gets to the point where paying people to semi automate with errors becomes uneconomical.

We ordered one of these to be delivered to another address on Christmas eve then cancelled it online Boxing day and received a conformation email. Due to not taking the call directly they rang up the delivery address Monday 29th and delivered 31st despite a call to the M&S delivery department in between and assurances that it was cancelled. We thought it was the JL order moved forward plus the guy never installed it just dumped the box.

  • Hi mirrorimage0
I got mine from the milton keynes costco, on new years eve and they had 7 in stock at that time - the code is 764053438561 (thats the bar code - is that what you wanted?)
Hope that helps and you manage to get one.

I've seen this TV next to a Sony KDL40W4000 (just W instead of V) in a shop. The W models was about £200 more expensive.

Does anyone know the difference between these two TV's?
