Debt Free

Hi All,
Having been in debt for about 11 years now, I finally became debt free on 23rd December.
I have been a lurker on these boards for quite a while now and never posted a diary, but I just wanted to tell someone that I'm now debt free. I've always kept my debts hidden from almost everyone and therefore will probably not share this information with anyone else.
It has been a long road and I know I have been lucky and unlucky with life along the way, but I have received extremely useful advice of these boards and of the website itself. Many Thanks to all of you who contribute.
Happy New Year to all of you and keep the chin up in times of desperation, you will get there.

Well done to you! I hope to get there by 2012 .... and like you the achievement will only be shared with the DFW's on here as we keep it to ourselves everywhere else. The support on here is amazing and it's so great to be able to share the day-to-day trials of carrying debt around on your back. It's the little things - like having a NSD and others on here knowing how significant that is!!
Hope you'll stay around and share your experience with those who are struggling - it's great to know that it is possible to be debt free!!
