I tried in two stores yesterday, and both refused - one said that they know about the incorrect pricing on the website, and then offered to sell both to me for £19. Is it just pot luck who serves you or are there any stores in mid-Essex that are known to actually agree to sell at the internet price?
Don't bother with Chelmer village retail park. Manager won't let you have anything regardless of internet price or advert in newspaper  HTH.0 -
Finally managed to find somewhere local to me that have stock to reserve. Hope they let me have them at the price on my reservation. Thanks OP.0

No problem at all, manager wasn't in but they honoured it without even questioning it - even apologised for the delay (as i'd reserved the last wii golf they had to cancel the reservation to manually adjust the price and do it as 2p.)
Even better i had a £5 voucher from before xmas for spending £50 so ended up getting them for £4.80
Was the wakefield store btw if anyone wants to try it (though obviously would have to be a different game to the golf as i got the last one.)2012 wins0 -
I reserved for collection 2 games and was refused the second at 2p. They called customer service who said it was a computer problem and they would not sell a game for 2p. I emailed customer service who said that they would not honour the order I had placed even though the printout stated the game as being 2p.
NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!!!0 -
Hopefully all the time spent visiting stores and being turned away for a potential saving of a few quid was time well spent? Unlucky, are u that skint really??:rotfl:0

I reserved and collected my 2 games for £9.80 and had no problems. I went to the till with my reservation printed out. When the cashier said £19something, i showed her the print out. She walked over to her manager and came back saying she will honour it for me. Apparently its a glitch that head office was meant to fixed by friday night, and as it was saturday she would have to honour everyone that brought a printout (as long as its reserved the same day, as time and dates at the top).
She also said that if you reserve an item and collect within an hour your more likley to recieve them. Point out that you have JUST reserved it, made a speical trip, paid parking etc.... and you want to have items as stated on reservation that were reserved less than an hour ago. IF they say pricess are due to change, say ok i will call me friend and see if the offers still on!!
IF they say its NOT an offer, say that Argos.co.uk didnt mention anything about it not being an offer.
At the end of the day, if the "glitch" is still on the internet when you collect the games, they have to sell them to you as the price stated as their is nothing on argos.co.uk mentioning any problems or "glitchs"
I hope this helps.0
