I would like to take my children to Lapland in 2010 but I don't want to do this on credit, before they are all too old. To do this I need to buy both boys passports, clear all my debts and get at least £3k saved up to cover all costs. My children at present are 9 11 and 14, come 2010 they will be 11 13 and 16 so need to incorporate it as a Santa/Skiing holiday. My aim for this year is to clear ALL debts, no excuses no hickups no reasons for me not to manage it.

What a fab set of challenges, good luck! You will be able to do it, just keep your eye on the ball and avoid temptation (for me that would be the clothes shops).

    Love Bam x x
  • Thanks Bamby though have to admit for me the temptation is the take outs. Decided if I have everything on first post, makes it easier to know what I am doing and to keep reverting back to on days of forgetfulness

Hope everyone has had a good start to the new year. Will take meter readings when I wake up in morning.

Plans for this year. Well I want to complete the front garden, and get Vegetable plot started at bottom of back garden.
To do this I need to finish leveling front garden, place two more really heavy slabs down, then get some turf for the front. Need to buy a strimmer and extra cable so I can get to the bottom of the back garden and gut the jungle down that is growing there, and start veg plot.

Today i decided to sign up for the January Grocery challenge, with the target of £50. Going for so low a target as I am having work done on the house, and kitchen is being ripped out, so need to use up all that I have in.

Been working on it for last few weeks, refining it, and changing info in wordpad format, ready to post. Was only going to do 6 challenges, but added three more today, but only as they can all work in conjunction with each other.
So did you have a good new year Laura. Been thinking maybe one day we should meet up.

Well spent earlier watching The Flintstones and eating last of the home-made popcorn I had in. Saw a lovely Jacket on the underfiver site but cant have it, or I will have failed one of my challenges before even getting out of the stall. So closed the site down.
Think I may order a fruit tree collection from catalogue though, but not until next week when most of my DD's have been paid, as I want to actually pay for them when ordering.

    Yes we should!

My new years was good thankyou. Just went to a friends house for a small party. Ate too much and paid for it ever since!

As I said i'm glad now its all over so things can start getting back to normal! I'm not a big fan of xmas or new year so i dont really make a big fuss. I've already been naughty on the spending just to get me through it all. I was on sale websites by xmas day evening!
