Sainsbury's rip off

eh ... if yer think that was bad get this....
Just returned from my local Sainsburys and they were floggin of huge bags of maris pipers for 30p a go !!
But they were actually marked at .... wait for this...... £1.50 !!!
.... I ask yer !!!... £1.50 down to 30p..... if they could afford to do that they must clearly have been rippin us off all along. Spotty student on the till refused to take my complaint seriously so I demanded to see the store manager for an explanation. He wasn't avin that at first either, but like a proper shopper I stood my ground.
He showed up eventually along with the CEO of Sainsburys who was just passin and had popped in for a brew.
I explained the circumstances and after laughing heartily he promptly had me thrown out onto the street for being drunk.
As luck would have it I was able to grab 2 bags of the maris pipers on the way out... and they were happy to take 50p for the pair !!!
I felt it had been a throughly successful protest and a victory for all fellow consumers as a passing 42 bus hit me while I lay grinning smugly in the gutter.0 -

you cant go round telling people when they can or not post on a thread, the forums are here for everyone to use, yes there will be threads where people will post a reply which isn't a reply the OP was looking for, its what you expect when you start a thread on forums which are for everyone0 -
advent1122 wrote: »SHOCK HORROR..... Call the Daily Mail. A store is changing its prices in line with customer demand.
It is simple..
They were at £2.20. The store tried to cash in by upping the price to £3.36, nobody bought them so they dropped the price to £2.18.
Hardly front page news.
i had called the daily mail and they said they would consider it for front page along with the news about the contestants for celeb big brother0
