When you make a search it only stays valid for a limited period of time
(any link you post that contains ..searchid.. will expire)

I think so - though I've never looked at it too closely.

Here's how to avoid it...

Looking at your profile, it says 'Find all thanked posts by trafalgar'
Right-click that link and copy the link that way ('copy shortcut')

If you click on the link, it activates a search and you end up copying the search result's url.
