Have you not seen the other thread about Renault Scenics? Check that out before even looking at one! Vauxhall are mentioned on there too, all poor quality and both have plenty of known issues with no cheap fixes.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. It is always more secure to buy from a dealer. You get the warranty, and so on. Hovewer dealer prices seem to be higher than those from private sellers. If you want to find dealer there are plenty of websites where you can find one:

I wouldn't recommend a mazda 5. we have one. plenty of room, but some can be hungry on tyres, and they are thirsty on fuel. and £215 tax.
only had one fault, a leaking rear shock, which was sorted under warrenty, and a couple of recalls around geometry (?), and the sliding door catch.
dealer service is dreadful, really really poor. (like questioning whether I made up the letter that arrived direct from Mazda stating that dealers would contribute to replacement tyres, and that the warrenty had run out, meaning they could not access the system to sort the shock. When I pointed out the correct date, access to the system was restored)
I'd still take it over a renault or a vauxhall though.
and from now on it will go to my local garage. much cheaper, and much more helpful.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -

You could buy a car for that easily.
Indeed you could buy a car, but this is for a brand new Zafira, which costs just over £20,000 to buy new - There is no maintenance, no car tax, no servicing costs etc. to pay, and at the end you just hand it back.
If you were to buy this new, you'd lose way over the £7,200 in the three years.
Just a thought, but it really depends on what you are looking for in a car - £7,200 might buy you a decent second hand car, but just around the corner you could be looking at major expenditure, whereas the security of the lease means that you will only ever have to pay the lease cost.
In some ways, it is like a fixed rate mortgage - you might pay slightly more, but are left with the security of having no surprises round the corner.Andy Corbett0 -

Leasing is a good way to get the use of a car if you are the average driver who covers no more than 10-12k each year and is looking for the new car feel every 3 years.
If your mileage/business use is volatile then I would recommend you purchase a secondhand Zafira from a car supermarket. You can get a one year old Zafira 1.9 CDTi for £7999.
Leasing suits some people but not everyone - and be doubly aware about the mileage limits. The man without a signature.0 -
Well, after 4 hours sat in a car dealership....
We test drove 4 cars, a Laguna, a Scenic, a Peugeot and a Zafira.
Dh (who is the driver) decided out of those he liked the Laguna the best, a 1.9 Diesel model, very nice car.
We are awaiting the finance decision nowwaiting to see if they accept us.

If you have 3 children wouldn't you be better off with a 7 seater so you can carry passengers.
