Signal Booster

Options
The mobile reception in my house is somewhat dodgy due to being surrounded by trees. If I go upstairs to take or make a call it's fine. Now I've thought of the obvious; change provider (happy with existing one), cut down the trees (forestry commission wouldn't like it!), move upstairs!.
Is there any kind of gismo that would sit upstairs and "boost" the signal to my phone downstairs??
Anyone shed any light on this for me please??
Thanks,
Squeaky

i tried one of the ones that you stick onto the inside of your phone.........didn't do anything........just the same useless signal (3 network)
  • How about a car kit - or at least the external antena from one?

You coult put the antena upstairs / on the roof. There would be some signal loss in the cable, but it might do the job.

One problem however, would be that the phone would then be teathered by the cable.
