sarahg1969 wrote:Last day, I know, but this might help those who still have some of the TD/DR coupons AND the DR coupons too. You can use one of each against DR in one transaction, and therefore pay nothing (helpful if they have no reduced DR stuff in your local Boots).
The coupons have different barcodes, so the till will take both together.
I found this out because I bought some TD and DR in one transaction, and the coupons took money off both DR instead (saving me an extra £1).

Oh how the people at Boots must have been praying that nobody noticed this oneWell done Sarah!

The haircare voucher doesn't work on the reduced Christmas gift sets, though I think it's disputable because the t&cs specify giftsets on 3for2... I've had one assistant override the till and let me use it, and a couple of others stick with the fact that it doesn't scan, in which case I left it. (It turns out that the Mark Hill shampoo is lovely!)
I went to Oxford yesterday - failed in my mission to go find lots of stores because I started late and enjoyed wandering round the centre too much! I also spent enough to get extra points (over £40!) in a very rare burst of extravagance - but I promise virtually everything had a voucher reduction (Jemma Kiddx2, R&Millie with No.7 voucher, etc). If it's of any use to someone, I saw the gym equipment there, upstairs on the end of an aisle by the reduced stuff. Horrendous jobsworth SA in Southampton High Street Boots yesterday religiously read all my vouchers - she spread them all out in front of her and let out a big sigh (obviously vouchered up to the eyeballs, poor thing)
She wouldn't let me have 3 x 300 points No7 vouchers in one transaction plus 3 for 2 (spoilsport) so didn't do as well as I could have, had to put each item through separately to get 300 points so missed out on the 3 for 2. I had a John Frieda can of frizz spray to use with my £3.00 voucher which she was convinced was a minature, I told her it wasn't and to try the voucher and hey presto it went through (cue smug look from me). Also managed to get 2 glitter babes party sets for 50p each. As she started putting the separate No7 bits through she annoucned to the queue 'you may want to find another till as this will all take a while' :rotfl:
They had a few TD lip plumpers left yesterday - I bought my first one but don't like it, walked the kids to school this morning and had to keep pulling my hair off my lips as they were so sticky! Either I get my hair cut short/wear it up a ll the time or give it away to a friend... decisions decisions...
I think Boots may do quite well out of me after this as I love some of the TD products - the exfoliator and the toner are both lovely and I can see myself buying these again even without the vouchers. I usually use Liz Earle which is a slightly more expensive brand but have to pay postage so switching to TD will save me money.
I have one TD/DR voucher left and am not sure if I can be bothered going out to use it today, also I'm sure that I get 'clocked' everytime I walk into the shop, I bet 'jobsworth' is keeping her beady eye on the door for me, lol talk about paranoid! can someone give me a push to get my final bargain please!

We must join forces next time we raid Brum. I did all the rounds of Birmingham on Saturday but I forgot the one at the Arcade!!! silly me. I did not managed to get the ball for free, so I paid a 5. Sold it yesterday to one of my colleagues for a 5 i don't think that I would use it enough. Did you see on the lower floor with all the reduced items the tea light venetian holders at 2 pounds and the funny scented roses at 1 pound I bought 2 of each and in the till something happened. I was wondering if it had some sort of code because all the shopping (+ ball, DR, EA) came to 50p. Worth checking it out. I can't go today but if you are see what happends and pass it on. :rotfl:
Lets meet for coffee, I managed my last one at Debehams for free as I had collected enough stamps!! ... I am a good girl. :A0 -
I've still got about 10 of the old coupons and I know my local Boots have the new versions in the stands, you've just given me the incentive to go in for one last try this afternoon!0
