in one transaction? did the SA not say anything?

Was funny as she was putting the candles and spray was commenting on how good the price was. When I handed her the voucher she was slightly baffled that I put through seven items and only charged me for my diet coke!!!

I went to Boots today on my way to do my weekly grocery shop. I had one voucher and collected some TD wipes @ £4.00...then unexpectedly my 1 year old threw up everywhere.

Boots staff were quick on the scene and helped clear up the mess. I joked that I needed more wipes as I used all the wipes in my bag to clear up the sick (sorry!) but did infact go and get two packs of the Boots own baby wipes (purple pack). Now they are always on a BOGOF so I looked out £1.99 for the SA.

When she rang it through the till..she looked puzzled  and said "oh you don't need to pay anything". I said "but I need to pay £1.99 for the wipes".."Nope she says..hey don't complain..that's what the till says".

So off I went puzzled. We know that the TD/DR voucher only takes the value of the product off..not £5 off your Boots basket.

This happened to me at my local Boots this morning. I got 4 packs of wipes for free. Went back in the afternoon to try again and the SA told me that they had a problem with the wipes this morning and the problem had been fixed.

  • hi all
i went into the big Boots in Brum today and i was gutted. They've taken the BOGOF off the DR products and there wasnt any TD items under a fiver. i think they've just stopped putting them out. i cant believe the shelves were cleared by 9.05!! i then went along to the little one on new Street and that also had NO TD stuff for under £5. it appears they might have cottoned onto things! they've also got no orange candles. has anyone managed to get any from here?

oh well never mind, we live to g=fight another day!!!! :rotfl:
  • hi, went to manchester and trafford centre today, absolutely nothing for TD!
but, manchester had loads of eucerin sachets to help yourself to at teh skin care section so it wasnt totally wasted! :)

Here is the receipt and breakdown...

    BootsReceipt.jpg

    Boots Wipes £1.99, Save £1.99 Now £.00
    Boots Wipes £1.99, Save £1.99 Now £.00
    TD Wipes x 30 £4.00, Save £4.00 Now £.00

Even if the till mistakenly took £5 off my entire basket, then I would have still needed to pay 99p but I didn't. So basically Boots gave me £7.98 of products free.

So what is going on..UNLESS the BOGOF on the wipes is the next till loophole thingymebob? I have always wanted to be the discoverer of a new Boots loophole..maybe my time has come!

p.s anyone want to be a mse guinea pig and try it out?

I brought these wipes today & used 2 aromatherapy vouchers & the opposite happened-the till charged me for 2 packs of wipes instead of BOGOF so i reckon it's some sort of random glitch !

hi everyone i am a newbie here

    Hi caravanlover :o)

Well done on the toothpaste, that's a fantastic freebie - now you'll have to brush after every meal!

I fell in love with Colgate Fresh Energy Red, which is a shame as apparently it's really produced for the market in India - it just seems to find its way here in the odd pack free with a basic toothbrush! I buy it when I see it in my local chemist and use the toothbrushes for sink cleaning!

It must have been horrible to open that sandwich (even more so to bite it...) I don't suppose you wanted to spend the voucher on more of their food.

I had a great shop at Boots today and had a lovely helpful SA.... she rang up my goods... total came to about £35 ish.... I said 'oh, thats a bit much' so she checked everything with me......

2 x T&G serum..... 2 for £7 signs were still up although promotion has finished... she corrected this manually for me... however only got 1 lot of £1.50 off due to the way she did the override... am going to see if I can get this back from the customer service help line as only noticed when i got home.

2 x botanic facial kits... reduced from £8 to £4.... Botanics on BOGOF so again she manually took off the price of 1 as till didnt do it. (tried this in a different boots 2 days ago and they refused to sell them as bogof as they were reduced stock.... will be speaking to customer service about this too)

1 x TD Cleansing balm.... right at the back of the store with the reduced stuff. Was £8.50 now £4.25.... came up as original price so she manually corrected this and then used £5 voucher.

Aromatherapy Salt Scrub, reduced to £1.99, used £1 off voucher so got it for 99p (no cheaper stuff left).

Total spend £10.49 but still need to try and get the £1.50 back for the 2nd serum.

Popped round to the photo counter after this and grabbed another cleaning balm for free :j

Anyone found any DR reduced in Glasgow or East Kilbride? I can only find it on BOGOF but would like some more if I could get it a bit cheaper :D
