  • I am sitting here waiting for my bath to run and got to thinking how this board
(and Boots) have changed my life (well almost!)

I am not hard up but definitely have to watch the pennies quite a lot, it just dawned on me how much better my life has been since I started taking up all these offers. I have been able to buy things and try things I would never have dared to do in the past, either through a lack of money or more likely because I just wouldn't pay the amounts that Boots ask for items like the Daniel Ryman range etc.

For instance, I wouldn't pay anywhere near the price that Evian cost for wipes, I usually get mine from Savers or the £1 shop!

I had a good look around my bathroom and it is teeming with quality products, a few weeks back before I got interested in Boots, I was lucky to have even 1 spare bottle of shampoo, and that would only have been a cheap brand.

Tonight I will be washing my hair with my Toni and Guy shampoo (couldn't have afforded it in a million years before), washing with the everyday indulgence bodywash, using the Time delay facial wash and loads of other things, a real pampering!

I would just like to give a heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you that have contributed to this wonderful thread
    Thanks

That was a lovely post Alison. :)

It's nice when ordinary peeps benefit from threads like this and they can indulge a little where normally they couldn't/wouldn't.

The only thing left in my local boots today was the TD Lip Plumper, but it went through the till at £7.00! I'm sure they were only £5.50 last week.

I went to Boots today on my way to do my weekly grocery shop. I had one voucher and collected some TD wipes @ £4.00...then unexpectedly my 1 year old threw up everywhere.

Boots staff were quick on the scene and helped clear up the mess. I joked that I needed more wipes as I used all the wipes in my bag to clear up the sick (sorry!) but did infact go and get two packs of the Boots own baby wipes (purple pack). Now they are always on a BOGOF so I looked out £1.99 for the SA.

When she rang it through the till..she looked puzzled  and said "oh you don't need to pay anything". I said "but I need to pay £1.99 for the wipes".."Nope she says..hey don't complain..that's what the till says".

So off I went puzzled. We know that the TD/DR voucher only takes the value of the product off..not £5 off your Boots basket.

Here is the receipt and breakdown...

    BootsReceipt.jpg

    Boots Wipes £1.99, Save £1.99 Now £.00
    Boots Wipes £1.99, Save £1.99 Now £.00
    TD Wipes x 30 £4.00, Save £4.00 Now £.00

Even if the till mistakenly took £5 off my entire basket, then I would have still needed to pay 99p but I didn't. So basically Boots gave me £7.98 of products free.

So what is going on..UNLESS the BOGOF on the wipes is the next till loophole thingymebob? I have always wanted to be the discoverer of a new Boots loophole..maybe my time has come!

p.s anyone want to be a mse guinea pig and try it out?

Small box with lip gloss, nail polish, ring and something else in. They were with the other Glitter Babes stuff at my Boots, but maybe all don't have them, as they are 2003 stock.

    NEED HELP!

ok so im all prepared. going to boots v early tomorrow (thursday baby!! new ACM offers)! i need the candles (sis wants some for her candle collection) i know i need the lilac and that the coupon is one per transaction....

but say i go up to the till with 5 candles right? do i need one coupon and i get all the candles free in one transaction? or do i need to go through the whole 'different tills, different SA with one candle and one coupon at a time' ?
