B G 3 star or N Power

I have has a Britsh Gas 3 star central heating plan for many years. It is okay, nothing special.
N Power have just written offering their version of a plan at a cheaper rate.
Has anyone tried them, are they any good or am I best staying with the devil I know.

If you look on the gas and electricity forum you will find lots of threads about central heating sevicing plans including lots about BG.

From memory I don't think I have seen any reports about N Power. I think Powergen offer a rival service to BG as well. I am not aware of any firm that has a Nationwide repair servicing organisation similar to BG, so I suspect that NPower/Powergen will simply sub-contract to local firms. If that is correct, your service will be dependent on the effeciency and honesty of that firm. That said it would appear that BG service can be vairiable.

The conclusion I have come to after reading them is there is nothing cheaper than BG that offers the same level of service as BG; although there are mixed opinions about BG.
