OK, the default notice must be specific in detail which is why I wanted to see it, not to worry.

the only thing it was specific in was how much they wanted to be paid by on the 1st of jan

the rest of letter contained what they may do nothing was set in stone

they didnt say we are taking you to court, we are passing your debt on nothing like that at all.

i should know what it said off by heart as i kept staring at it all night when i got it
 sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.

I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long :(

How much is the debt for (Don't disclose the actual amount say £5K+ or £20K)

The default notice will only require you to pay the arrears only, they MUST issue this before taking legal action.

the debt on the card is £7.5K the payment they want is the arrears from April 2008 till present date which is the £689 or there abouts

I have never defaulted from paying iv paid on the 28th of each month as thats pay day for the past 22 months. yes i i have broken the agreement as im paying less than what they want.

Some of my friends who have worse debt than me just ignore these things and dont worry but i cant i wont settle till iv paid back all i owe

That's correct, they can only chase the arrears at this stage because you still have an account with them, only when they commence legal action can they ask for the whole amount.

i do remember reading in the letter though that if this wasnt paid they would close the account and as said above "may" take the necessary action

im really thick when it comes to stuff like this and im sure it shows lol

OK, they "MAY" close the a/c, that means selling it off to someone else.

They "May" take legal action, some creditors are jumping the gun quickly nowadays and running for SD or Charging orders, don't let that scare you, but creditors seem to be clamping down where ever they can.
